Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nPROPELLANT SCHEDULER\nThe Starship Launch Operations team seeks a highly motivated individual to procure, schedule, and distribute propellants internally for launch and testing. This role will work closely with engineers, technicians, supply chain, finance, and suppliers in a critical support role at the Starbase Launch facility to ensure propellant does not drive rate. This role will use analytics to provide business-critical insights and ensure cross-functional alignment on goals and execution.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nBe the liaison between the supply chain, operations, engineering, technicians, and propellant vendors to coordinate fuel & gas deliveries to the site\nTranslate site demand into a weekly delivery schedule for various third-party vendors\nProvide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance, cost, and estimated vs. actual consumption\nMake fast-paced decisions regarding internal and external resource allocations to support dynamic or unpredictable operations\nProactively evaluate & flag schedule risks/trends to management based on past performance data, knowledge of bottlenecks, demand vs supply, external market factors, and lead time\nIdentify and characterize system pitfalls with propellant management and delivery\nDevelop relationships with numerous third-party vendors to ensure effective communication and to creatively source propellant in times of need\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate’s degree in the field of math, science, or business and 1+ years of experience performing scheduling duties in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or aerospace environment; OR 4+ years of experience performing scheduling or project manager duties in a manufacturing, industrial, or aerospace environment\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, math, science, business, supply chain, or economics\nExperience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent and discrete event modeling tools\nExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, and related production principles\nExperience in an industrial or operations engineering role/environment\nExperience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling programs\nProficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and root cause analysis\nExperience in a technical industry\nAdvanced Excel proficiencies\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed; flexibility required\nAbility to travel to other SpaceX facilities as needed, travel requirement is up to 25%\nPhysical effort including sitting or standing for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying weight such as materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs. unassisted)\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
