We are looking for best-in-class engineers to help maximize Starlink’s utility for individuals, communities, and businesses.\nProduct Compliance Engineers will play a critical role as SpaceX strives to deliver internet to those that need it most. They will drive regulatory efforts, impact internal design decisions, and obtain the product certifications needed to sell and ship millions of consumer-facing devices. These devices - including Starlink dishes, Wi-Fi routers, power supply, accessories, etc. - are designed and manufactured completely in-house by SpaceX. We are hiring an RF/Wireless Compliance Engineer focused on regulatory certification of Starlink’s radio products and systems. You will own FCC, ISED, ETSI, and international radio compliance from design through certification and market access. Engineers on the team will be hands-on, regularly interact with multiple technical disciplines, and ultimately ensure that Starlink is a global success.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead RF regulatory strategy and certification for Starlink User Terminals and Wi-Fi products across all target markets\nOwn compliance to FCC, ISED, ETSI, RED, and equivalent global wireless regulations- Manage radio testing (emissions, immunity, SAR, etc.) with accredited labs\nWork directly with RF hardware and firmware teams to implement design changes required for certification\nPrepare and maintain technical files and certification applications\nSupport global market access for wireless features, including new frequency bands and power levels\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, other STEM discipline \n1+ years of experience in RF/wireless regulatory compliance and certification (internship experience is applicable)\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\n3+ years of dedicated experience in RF/wireless regulatory compliance and certification for high-volume consumer electronics, industrial equipment, or information technology equipment\nStrong experience with Wi-Fi or satellite communication systems\nDeep knowledge of FCC, ISED, ETSI, RED, and key international wireless regulations\nExperience running RF compliance test campaigns\nAbility to read and interpret radio standards and translate them into actionable design requirements\nExperience supporting antenna and RF layout for regulatory success\nTrack record of successfully certifying complex wireless consumer products\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
