Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nSHUTTLE DRIVER - TEMPORARY \nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nTransport people in a shuttle between locations\nSafely load and unload cargo as needed\nResponsible for ensuring shuttle contents are secured for safe and undamaged delivery to destination\nAvoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible\nMonitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to manager immediately\nResponsible for the cleanliness of vehicle and refueling when low\nPOSITION DETAILS:\nThis is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.\nLENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)\nLOCATION: Brownsville, TX\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n2+ years of professional experience driving people in a commercial setting OR 6+ months of contracting driving experience at SpaceX\np]:inline\" data-streamdown=\"list-item\">Valid Texas Class B (or Class A) Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. (Texas CDL required; out-of-state CDLs must be converted per DPS rules)\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\n10+ years of professional driving experience\nExperience driving a school bus\nOutstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes\nExperience with route planning\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nStrong customer-service background\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nValid driver's license and clean DMV record\nAbility to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
