Located on a 4,280-acre site in central Texas, the Rocket Development Facility is responsible for testing hardware from development stages through acceptance for flight, and from component-level to complete stage testing. Experiencing the rumbling of a rocket engine multiple times each day is just one of the highlights of working at our Rocket Development Facility.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaintain and manage communication infrastructure for data servers, networking hardware, IP devices, and IT systems\nDevelop and maintain high-performance video streaming infrastructure and related technologies \nConfigure, develop, test, and implement appropriate codec settings for live video streaming\nPerform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex video streaming hardware problems and implement corrective solutions\nImplement and maintain new/current UPS systems’ network capabilities\nAssist in vendor scheduling, installation, and subcontracting activities on large and complex facility system infrastructure\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: \nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n3+ years of experience working with audio systems and/or radio communication systems\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: \n2+ years of experience working with a camera management system\n2+ years of experience working with Clear-Com software (EHX)\n2+ years of experience working with RTS software (AZ Edit and IP Edit)\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)\nKnowledgeable in information technology systems, including PC-based computers, data servers, and networking\nExperience with TCP/IP networking protocols\nExperience with digital video systems: still cameras, arrays of networked video cameras, high-speed video cameras, infrared cameras\nCorning Fiber Installation (CFI) Certification\nFiber Optics Designer (FOD) Certification\nCorning Fiber Designer (CFD) Certification\nSolid foundation in streaming low-latency live video\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nRole may require extended hours, weekend work, and shift schedules that vary depending on site operational needs; flexibility required\nFlight hardware is typically built in tight quarters and physical dexterity is required\nPhysical effort including sitting or standing for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying weights such as materials or equipment (up to 30 lbs.)\nWork performed in an environment with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise\nFrequently required to work in extreme outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain)\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
