Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nTOOL CRIB ATTENDANT\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nReceive, store and issue hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies and equipment\nKeep record of tools issued to and returned by workers\nSearch for lost or misplaced tools and notify supervision as required\nPrepare inventory and requisition stock as needed\nUnpack and store new equipment\nVisually inspect tools for wear and defects, and order replacement tools as necessary\nAttach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment as needed\nAssist repair cycle specialist in maintaining inventories on parts, tools and equipment\nAssist management team with the ordering of tools, parts, and equipment within the control of the tool room facility\nHandle and dispose of hazardous materials\nMaintain technical order files, e-tools, bench stock, shop stock, calibrated tooling and hazardous waste areas\nPractice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times\nFollow technical data, manuals, regulations, and other maintenance directives as required\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n2+ years of professional experience working in an aviation or aerospace tool room environment; OR 4+ years of professional experience working at a launch or test site\nPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate degree in a mechanical, electrical or computer field\nSolid foundation with streaming low latency live video\nExperience with Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2 and Windows 10\nExperience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)\nA strong passion for space exploration\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\nAbility to assist with hydrotest and/or pneumastat testing on any component\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate, create and drive projects to completion\nFamiliarity with calibrated measurement devices including torque wrenches, dew point meters, etc.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nFlight hardware is typically built in tight quarters, and physical dexterity is required\nWork performed in an environment with exposure to fumes, odors and noise\nMust be able to work overtime and weekends depending on site operational needs\nAbility to safely rig and move items under 20,000 lbs.\nStand: Up to 10 hours per day\nSit: Up to 3 hours per day\nPush/Pull: Up to 75lbs. (unassisted) between 1 to 2 hours per day\nOverhead reach: Up to 10 hours per day\nWalk: Up to 10 hours per day\nLift/Carry: Up to ≤ 50 lbs.
