You will help translate business requirements into reliable software, contribute to development practices and provide guidance to junior colleagues.\n\nThis opportunity suits someone who enjoys understanding the processes behind an application and takes pride in building stable, maintainable solutions.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nDevelop and improve software applications using C# and .NET.\n\nAnalyse functional requirements and translate them into detailed development tasks and technical solutions.\n\nDesign and work with relational databases using SQL Server.\n\nUse Entity Framework Core to support application data access.\n\nApply asynchronous programming, dependency injection and inversion of control where appropriate.\n\nHelp maintain application stability, quality and performance.\n\nSupport junior developers by sharing technical knowledge and helping resolve development challenges.\n\nEvaluate relevant technologies and contribute to improvements in development standards and practices.\n\nCollaborate with colleagues throughout analysis, implementation and ongoing application improvement.\n\nRequirements\n\nMust-have skills:\n\nAt least five years of relevant experience in software development.\n\nA bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.\n\nStrong practical experience with C# and .NET.\n\nA solid understanding of async/await, dependency injection and inversion of control.\n\nKnowledge of relational database design and SQL Server.\n\nExperience with Entity Framework Core.\n\nA careful approach to software development, with attention to reliability, maintainability and performance.\n\nAdditional strengths:\n\nExperience translating functional requirements into technical specifications.\n\nAbility to guide less experienced developers and explain technical concepts clearly.\n\nInterest in understanding how applications support users and operational processes.\n\nCuriosity about new technologies and the judgment to assess their practical value.\n\nSoft skills\n\nAnalytical and attentive to detail\n\nProactive in solving problems\n\nAccountable for the quality of your work\n\nComfortable collaborating and sharing knowledge\n\nAble to work independently within a team\n\nInterested in continuous learning and improvement\n\n Company description\n Sparagus is a young and dynamic company specialized in IT Recruitment and based in Brussels.
