We are currently focused on super pollutants from agriculture (specifically methane and nitrous oxide), warming-inducing greenhouse gas emissions, and methane removal.\nSpark’s impact is made possible by a community of generous and pioneering individuals, foundations, and organizations that share our vision for a safer climate future.\nPosition Summary\nSpark Climate Solutions is seeking a part-time Operations Coordinator to help keep day-to-day scheduling and administrative tasks organized and moving forward. This individual will be responsible for managing the Executive Director’s and organizational calendar, and provide additional support for meeting coordination, expense documentation, internal team gatherings, and event logistics. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys keeping track of details and following through using established processes.\nWho We’re Looking For\nOrganized, dependable, and attentive to detail.\n\nA clear, friendly communicator who follows up and keeps people informed.\n\nComfortable completing routine tasks independently and asking questions when guidance is needed.\n\nAble to handle sensitive information with discretion.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the Executive Director’s calendar, including scheduling, rescheduling, meeting details, and flagging conflicts.\n\nMaintain and update the organization’s calendar, provide support for key meetings.\n\nOwn collection of pre-reads and dissemination of follow-ups for major internal meetings.\n\nHelp coordinate meetings across staff and external partners.\n\nHelp prepare slides for our organization’s All Hands and the weekly all staff email by collecting updates, formatting content, and sending reminders.\n\nCoordinate scheduling of brownbags (learning sessions for staff) by managing invitations, and materials, with speaker introductions provided by team members.\n\nSupport event administration by updating participant trackers, sending reminders, and making approved bookings or orders.\n\nKeep assigned trackers and documents current and flag missing information or upcoming deadlines.\n\nUpload the Executive Director’s receipts to Bill.com and follow up on missing expense documentation.\n\nQualifications\n3+ years of experience providing administrative, scheduling, or coordination support.\n\nExperience managing calendars and coordinating meetings across multiple participants and time zones.\n\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through on deadlines, meeting details, and routine tasks.\n\nClear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including communicating with external contacts and following up on missing information.\n\nComfort using shared calendars, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and online meeting platforms, with the ability to learn new tools and follow established processes.\n\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment, keep track of assigned tasks, and communicate progress or capacity concerns.\n\nSound judgment in handling sensitive information, asking clarifying questions, and recognizing when a decision needs approval.\n\nWhy Join Us\nSpark Climate Solutions is a nimble, impact-focused nonprofit driving urgent progress on underinvested climate solutions. This is a six-month, fixed-term contract with the possibility of transitioning to an employee position.
