# Utility Worker/Operator

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is seeking a Utility Worker/Operator to join our growing Western Canada Distribution team, based in Alberta and supporting utility clients across Western and Eastern Canada. This role focuses on operating heavy and specialized equipment in support of powerline construction crews. What will you do as theUtility Worker/Operator Ensure that provincial OHS legislation (including Alberta OHS Code Part 40), utility client safety standards, limits of approach, and company H&S requirements and initiatives are upheld in order to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Conduct self in a professional manner with internal team members, utility representatives, landowners and the public, Operating radial boom derrick, Operating pullers, tensioners and other stringing equipment to install and sag conductor, Operating backhoes, skid steers and other earthmoving equipment for excavation, trenching, backfilling and site preparation, Maintaining limits of approach and safe boom positioning near energized lines, Following ground disturbance requirements, including locates and hand exposure, Hauling, loading and unloa
