For our associates, that means: a thriving and rewarding career, respect for the communities where they live and work, a focus on health and wellness, an excellent work/life balance, and an open and inclusive workplace.\nWhat will you do to contribute to the company's success?\nInstalls underground conduit, handholes, pedestals, cabinets and row markers via trenching, plowing, sawing, digging and horizontal drilling.\nPlaces underground pipe, innerducts and vaults in support of cable installation.\nInstalls aerial cable, utility poles and associated hardware.\nPerforms a lead role in the operation of crew vehicles, vacuum excavation equipment, conduit trailers, fiber trailers, air compressors, backhoe / mini \nexcavator / plow / directional drill and other tools and equipment.\nPerforms line maintenance and repairs for subscriber-based electronics and cable infrastructure.\nEnsures traffic control and flagging duties are performed when and as required. Ensures company assets are properly and continuously maintained in excellent operating condition and secured in a safe manner.\nPerforms traffic control flagging duties for roads and highways as needed.\nAccurately completes progress forms, project activity reports and all other documentation pertaining to work assignments.\nLoads and transports heavy equipment to and from assigned jobsites.\nSurveys jobs sites while considering all safety measures - for associates, the general public and property.\nQualifications\n\n3-4 years’ prior experience High school or equivalent\nValid Class A Commercial Drivers’ License\nOSHA 10 construction certification.\nCompletion of required -n-house construction training programs. Ability to operate hand, power and specialty tools.\nMay be required to work day, evening or night schedules, overtime, emergency callouts, weekends and out of town assignments.\nIndividuals hired into DOT regulated positions must be able to meet and maintain the requirements under the Company’s DOT program, including successfully complete and pass a road test examination, driver’s record safety review, drug testing, DOT physical, and past employer safety performance history.
