Working at the intersection of technology and travel, you'll play a valuable role in implementing the technical vision of our client's flagship Android applications as part of a talented team of Sparq developers. You'll help shape how travelers interact with the airline - from booking to boarding and beyond - by building seamless, innovative mobile experiences in the aviation industry.\nIn this role, you'll work with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into effective technical solutions, ensuring the mobile platform maintains high standards of performance, security, and user experience. Your expertise will contribute to modernizing our client's mobile architecture while maintaining the reliability customers depend on for their travel needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Implementation & Development\nDevelop mobile applications for Android platforms, leveraging Kotlin and/or Java\nDevelop new functionality on our existing software products using Kotlin and Java\nImplement technical solutions following established architecture and design patterns (MVVM, MVC, etc.)\nKnowledgeable of asynchronous operations in both Java, and Kotlin\nAdhere to coding standards and best practices for Android development\nMake informed decisions about implementation approaches for features\nParticipate in problem-solving for technical challenges\nIdentify and address technical debt in your areas of ownership\nCommunicate technical constraints and possibilities to the Engineering Lead\nSupport security standards implementation in mobile applications\nTeam Collaboration & Growth\nCollaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment, working alongside a small, dynamic team of engineers\nCollaborate effectively with other team members across time Technical Skills:\n5+ years of experience as an Android developer\nStrong expertise with Android native application development\nProficiency in Kotlin and working knowledge of Java\nExperience with RESTful APIs integration\nRoom/SQLite experience including offline functionality\nExperience with multi-threading and asynchronous programming\nKnowledge of integrating 3rd party SDKs\nExperience with analytics and crash reporting tools\nUnit testing experience using JUnit/Espresso\nExperience with performance optimization and debugging\nGood understanding of memory management and application lifecycle\nExperience participating in code reviews and design discussions\nKnowledge of mobile design patterns and architecture principles\nRequired Consulting Skills:\nSelf-motivated with ability to
