Apply now!\nLocation:\n537 76th St Sw - Byron Center, Michigan 49315Position Summary:\nThis role is responsible to lead or participate in the installation, configuration, implementation and maintenance of third-party hardware or system software utilities. Lead or participate in project designs and upgrades of hardware or software systems within assigned IT area. Perform systems management and integration functions. Act as a key point of contact and advise team on complex technical issues and resolution of such.\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nLead or participate in the evaluation, installation, configuration, implementation and maintenance of third-party hardware or system software utilities. Responsible to monitor, test and troubleshoot issues for assigned systems hardware or software as appropriate. Work with internal IT teams, external vendors, and cross-functional business partners as necessary. \nPlan and implement timely upgrades, maintenance fixes and vendor-supplied patches for assigned systems hardware or software. Recommend and execute modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance of infrastructure systems. Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and practices as required. \nLead or participate in project designs and upgrades of hardware or software systems within assigned IT area. Conduct research in support of procurement or development efforts as assigned. \nDevelop and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation, user documentation for systems installed and/or created, and technical standards, procedures, and techniques for system issue resolution to ensure maximum system availability and performance levels. \nAct as a key point of contact and advise team on complex technical issues and resolution of such. Identify and resolve issues and monitor resolution; partner with other IT areas to ensure resolution of issues. \nWork closely with various IT teams as necessary to support the hardware and software systems. \nPrepare and conduct presentations to IT management and discuss IT technology issues and solutions in a non-technical manner while ensuring understanding by targeted audience. \nProvide guidance, mentoring and training for less experienced system engineers and IT support staff. \nMaintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices within Information Technology and remain current with new technologies and systems engineer methodologies and protocols. Make recommendations to improve current systems or processes. \nCheck existing systems and suggest improvements. \nApply tech solutions to strengthen systems. \nCustomize systems from external vendors. \nReview control documents. \nPerform standard operating procedures. \nPerform routine systems and software audits. \nWork with Infrastructure engineering team to conduct ongoing testing and updates for related systems. \nProvide support for large changes during after-hours and weekends. \nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Here's what you’ll need: \nBachelor's Degree (Required) Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. \n3 years Information Technology experience in the assigned specialty area. \nRequires excellent knowledge of computer hardware architecture and operating systems in a multi-system environment. \nExcellent written and verbal communications skills; strong customer service, interpersonal and presentation skills. \nExcellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, decision-making and attention to detail skills. \nExcellent project management skills; experience leading medium to large scale projects. \nAbility to organize and prioritize workload, manage multiple concurrent projects, multi-task and shift priorities, lead through influence and delegate assignments as business needs. \nMust be able to work independently and in team settings. Must participate in an on-call rotation. \nExperience with monitoring systems \nSolid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks\nExperience with monitoring systems \nSolid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)\nAbility to travel occasionally (up to 10%) as needed. \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
