Apply now!\nLocation:\n850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315Position Summary:\nThe Senior Virtual Workspace Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, administration, automation, and support of enterprise virtual workspace technologies, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Island Enterprise Browser, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and related End User Computing (EUC) platforms. This role provides technical leadership for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), application delivery, secure browser technologies, endpoint management, workspace automation, and digital employee experience initiatives.\nThe engineer will work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, application, and service management teams to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable virtual workspace solutions that support business operations across the enterprise. This role requires strong expertise in Citrix technologies, Island Browser, PowerShell scripting, automation, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based workspace solutions.\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nCreating/managing Server / Desktop Operating System images for different Citrix environments supported in the company.\nArchitect, deploy, administer, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.\nDesign and maintain Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway, Director, Studio, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM).\nCreate, maintain, and optimize server and desktop operating system images for virtual desktop environments.\nDesign and manage machine catalogs, delivery groups, pooled desktops, dedicated desktops, and published applications.\nMonitor and maintain performance, capacity, availability, and reliability of Citrix infrastructure.\nPerform Citrix environment upgrades, patching, hotfix deployments, and lifecycle management.\nTroubleshoot and resolve Citrix session, profile, printing, performance, application, and connectivity issues.\nDesign and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for Citrix environments.\nDesign and support enterprise virtual workspace solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.\nManage VDI platforms including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Azure Virtual Desktop.\nSupport profile management, user personalization, application virtualization, and digital workspace optimization.\nDevelop strategies to improve end-user experience, platform performance, and operational efficiency.\nSupport enterprise application delivery using application packaging, streaming, and virtualization technologies.\nCollaborate with desktop engineering and endpoint management teams to standardize workspace delivery.\nDeploy, configure, and support Island Enterprise Browser across the organization.\nDevelop and maintain Island Browser security policies, application access controls, and browser-based security configurations.\nIntegrate Island Browser with identity providers, SSO platforms, conditional access policies, and security solutions.\nMonitor browser health, performance, compliance, and user adoption metrics.\nTroubleshoot browser-related application access, performance, and security issues.\nPartner with Cybersecurity teams to support Zero Trust and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) initiatives.\nDevelop, maintain, and support PowerShell scripts for automation of Citrix, Windows, Azure, Active Directory, and endpoint administration tasks.\nAutomate image deployment, application deployment, workspace provisioning, and reporting processes.\nCreate operational dashboards, monitor reports, and health-check automation scripts.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual effort through scripting and process automation.\nMaintain source code repositories and documentation for automation solutions.\nSupport Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.\nManage Microsoft Azure resources supporting workspace infrastructure.\nAdminister Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), group policies, and identity integrations.\nSupport Office 365 and Microsoft 365 services including licensing, user administration, groups, and access management.\nCollaborate on cloud migration and modernization initiatives.\nSupport Windows Server environments including Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.\nManage virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.\nSupport print servers and enterprise printing solutions.\nMaintain DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, DFS, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services.\nImplement monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning for workspace platforms.\nImplement security best practices across virtual desktop and browser platforms.\nEnsure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.\nSupport vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security audits.\nParticipate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.\nCollaborate with Security Operations and Identity Management teams to strengthen endpoint and workspace security.\nProvide Level 3 escalation support for complex incidents and problem management activities.\nParticipate in on-call support rotation and provide after-hours support for critical business incidents.\nSupport maintenance activities, upgrades, and infrastructure changes during approved maintenance windows.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.\nParticipate in project planning, implementation, and technology roadmaps.\nWork with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support strategic initiatives.\nProvide end-user and site support when required.\nHere's what you’ll need:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of experience managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.\n7+ years of experience supporting virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).\n3+ years of PowerShell scripting and automation experience.\nExperience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.\nExperience administering Island Enterprise Browser or similar secure enterprise browser technologies.\nExperience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory administration.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management
