Paid Parental Leave after six months.\nPosition Summary:\nThis role is responsible to supervise the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc. Assigns work to distribution associates and ensures productivity, accuracy, excellent customer service, safe work environment and efficient operations; and trains associates as necessary.\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nSupervise the day-to-day warehouse department activities within assigned area(s) such as shipping, receiving, selection, loading, storage, etc. \nWork with cross-functional departments as it relates to the distribution center operations and ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues. \nSchedule and assign work to warehouse associates to complete workload in a timely and efficient manager while maintaining productivity, accuracy, excellent customer service and safe work environment; plan and schedule activities to control costs on labor and supplies. \nMaintain warehouse related reporting on related KPI's. Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. \nThis may include but is not limited to: \n- Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations (i.e., safety, sanitation, etc.) and promote and reinforce safety and security awareness;\n- Oversee and ensure the cleanliness of the work environment;\n- Ensure proper maintenance of and report any issues related to equipment; and\n- Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries and participate in any investigations as required.\nWork with warehouse leads to coordinate day-to-day scheduling of associates based on resources, volume, etc. \nEnsure team lead is properly training associates; assist with training team on changes in processes and procedures. \nCoordinate and lead pre-shift meetings and ensure timely communication with associates on various topics (i.e., distribution procedures, safety, human resources programs, etc.). \nResponsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. \nMay be responsible to assist with labor agreement administration, as necessary. \nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. \nHere’s what you’ll need:\nHigh School Graduate or Equivalent (GED). \nThree years Warehouse distribution experience preferred. \nOne year Supervisory or lead experience required. \nGood written and verbal communication skills. \nGood organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills. \nMust be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines. \nMust have good leadership and training skills; ability to work with all levels of management and line associates. \nAbility to work flexible hours based on business needs. \nProficient in MS Office (Excel and Word). \nKnowledge of Warehouse Management Systems \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned.
