Join our community of professionals shaping the future of clean energy, where every project reflects our promise of Solar Done Right.\nSolar Site Surveyor\nFull-Time | Field-Based\nAbout This Role\nSpartanX is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Solar Site Surveyor to support residential solar projects across our active markets.\nThe Site Surveyor is responsible for collecting the accurate field information our Design, Engineering, Permitting, and Operations teams need to move a project forward. You'll visit customer homes, document roof and structural conditions, collect electrical information, take required measurements and photographs, and identify site conditions that could affect system design or installation.\nThis is an independent field role for someone who is comfortable on roofs and in attics, communicates professionally with homeowners, and understands that the quality of everything downstream starts with an accurate survey.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSite Surveys & Field Documentation\nPerform residential solar site surveys according to SpartanX standards\nCollect accurate roof, structural, electrical, attic, and property information\nDocument main service panels, subpanels, meters, breakers, and existing electrical equipment\nTake complete photographs, measurements, and detailed field notes\nDocument roof dimensions, pitch, material, condition, and potential installation obstacles\nEvaluate attic access and document applicable structural conditions\nIdentify shading, access limitations, electrical concerns, or other conditions that could affect system design or installation\nVerify all required information has been collected before leaving the property\nSubmit complete and accurate survey information through company systems within required timelines\nProject & Operations Support\nProvide Design and Engineering with reliable field information needed to develop accurate system plans\nCommunicate unusual site conditions or potential project concerns to the appropriate teams\nCoordinate with Design, Engineering, Permitting, Installation, and Operations when additional information is required\nRespond promptly to requests for clarification or additional documentation\nHelp reduce redesigns, return visits, and installation delays through accurate initial surveys\nMaintain accurate project documentation and survey records\nHomeowner & Field Responsibilities\nCommunicate professionally with homeowners during scheduled appointments\nArrive prepared and on time for assigned surveys\nTreat customer homes and property with care and respect\nMaintain a professional appearance and represent SpartanX appropriately in the field\nFollow company safety procedures while working on roofs, ladders, in attics, and around electrical equipment\nManage assigned appointments and daily routes efficiently\nWhat We’re Looking For\nPrevious experience in solar, construction, roofing, electrical, site surveying, or field operations preferred\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work independently and manage a daily field schedule\nProfessional homeowner communication and customer-service skills\nComfortable safely accessing rooftops, ladders, and attics\nBasic understanding of residential construction\nBasic understanding of residential electrical systems preferred\nComfortable using smartphones, tablets, mobile applications, and web-based systems\nAbility to take accurate measurements and follow detailed documentation requirements\nValid driver's license and clean driving record\nAbility to travel between scheduled appointments\nAbility to lift and safely carry equipment required to perform site surveys\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious residential solar site survey experience\nResidential solar installation or operations experience\nRoofing or construction experience\nElectrical experience or knowledge\nFamiliarity with solar design or site survey software\nOSHA 10 or other relevant safety training\nSchedule\nPrimarily Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required.\nPay & Vehicle Compensation\n$13.75/hour + $55 per completed site survey\nVehicle Compensation - Choose One:\n$400 monthly vehicle allowance + $0.22 per mile, or\nUse your own vehicle + $0.72 per mile\n\nPerformance and incentive opportunities for top performers\nOpportunity to increase earnings through productivity and completed surveys\nCareer growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding solar organization\nLegal Disclaimer\nSpartanX is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values workplace diversity.
