If you meet the qualifications and want to make a difference in a fast-paced environment with a company large enough to offer you room to grow but not so large you become “just a number”, and who has a large focus on safety and success, Spartech might be the ideal company for you!\nGeneral Summary and Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nThe Plant Training Coordinator is responsible for training, development, and retention for new manufacturing hires entering the Company and continuing education of hourly production associates. The Plant Training Coordinator will develop and implement annual learning plans for ongoing training needs, and work with the Sr. HR Manager and Plant Leadership Team to identify specific training gaps. Training and development directly impact retention of team members at the facility, therefore the Plant Training Coordinator must be innovative and creative in the role for process improvement and be a representative of the One Spartech culture.\nRequirements\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nOwnership of all formalization of new hire training. Create annual plant training, working with Sr. HR Manager and Plant Leadership Team to find a solution to training needs without adverse impact to operations. \nDevelop a written training program that includes: \nIndividual coursework per position and operator class \nQuantified Evaluations for certification of each position \nSustainment training for all positions \nTrain all new incoming production talent. \nManage new hire orientation and floor trainers, including all onboarding programs. \nImprove current development and retention programs. Continued talent development of existing talent. \nDevelop a career progression path for Operators through the classifications. \n Safety, Efficiency/Proficiency, Quality \nWork with the Plant EH&S Manager. \nWork with the Quality Manager and quality team. \nWork closely with the Sr. HR Manager and Plant Leadership Team to establish special training topics such as: \nNew Product/New Equipment training \nSpecial / Non-Standard product training \nShare in L2L administration duties. \nMust understand and have a “One Spartech” mindset to positively enhance the company culture. \nMust Understand and communicate our culture of respectful communication in everything we do. \nDevelop and promote positive working relationships with all Team Members, Supervisors & Management. \nAll other duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n3-5 years management experience with direct reports. \nOpen to continuing education, as is deemed necessary by senior leadership. \nRequired manufacturing experience, prefer plastics industry experience. \nOrganizational and time management skills. \nAbility to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner. \nAbility to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect. \nFunctional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. \nAble to work productively and independently. \nClear communication skills - verbally and in written form. \nAbility to coach and develop others into becoming better employees. \nLeadership skills, such as but not limited to conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring excellent work. \nAbility to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals. \nA positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted. \nBenefits\nWe offer competitive salary, incentive, and benefit programs. - Most Benefits Start Day One!\nBenefits include:\nMedical, Dental, & Vision.\nCompany paid life and long-term and short-term disability programs.\nFlexible spending accounts.\n401(k) with a strong matching program.\n120 hours Paid Time Off (pro-rated based on hire date).\n11 paid holidays.\n Spartech LLC headquartered in Maryland Heights, Missouri is a leading manufacturing organization in the Custom Sheet & Roll Stock and Packaging markets with over a dozen locations throughout the United States.
