Our employees take pride in our superior product performance and quality, which are known and valued around the world.\nJob Summary:\nThis position is an entry-level position within the manufacturing area, primarily responsible for performing weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department. Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meets customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Spartech policies and procedures.\nEssential Job Duties:\nAccomplish the duties of the job utilizing safe work habits and maintaining a safe workplace\nMust be able to read and understand shop orders\nCommunicate with shift lead\nPerform cleaning task of equipment and plant\nStage items needed for production\nRecord quality control information timely and accurately.\nResponsible to be productive and complete the assigned production order to completion accurately.\nOperate forklifts as required.\nMust be able to work a full schedule workweek and fulfill overtime requirements as needed\nReceive any additional direction from leads and supervisors\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nMay be required to train other employees\nActive participant in Kaizen and lean events\nMay be required to perform duties not specifically listed above, the listed duties are subject to be changed at any time, as deemed necessary to support the business.\nKey Metrics:\nSafe and accurate productivity.\nHit quality targets to ensure a quality part is handed to the next operation.\nTimely and accurate paperwork\nCompletion of duties in a timely and organized manner\nMaintain equipment in the manufacturing area\nBe a certified forklift driver as needed\nMaintain a safe work environment\nRequirements\nEducation:\n Requires a high school diploma or equivalent\n Must possess above average math and reading skills\n Requires the ability to complete paperwork accurately and timely\n Mental Demands:\n Requires good hand/eye coordination and good vision\n Must be a self-starter and team oriented\n Must be conscious of all safety aspects affecting the manufacturing operations\n Benefits\nWe offer competitive salary, incentive, and benefit programs.
