The DevOps Engineer is a highly technical team member supporting the Infrastructure, Production, and Compliance Support team within the Enabling Rail of a large-scale enterprise program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining DevSecOps pipelines, deployment automation, environment automation, and shared engineering services that enable multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver secure, reliable, and auditable software at scale.\nThe DevOps Engineer will support a complex enterprise ecosystem spanning development, test, training, staging, and production environments, including operations in NIPRNET and SIPRNET contexts. The environment includes PeopleSoft-based enterprise applications, Oracle platforms, shared integration services, security tooling, test automation frameworks, and enterprise release processes. This position works closely with developers, testers, SREs, release managers, cybersecurity personnel, and product teams to improve delivery speed, deployment consistency, traceability, and quality while maintaining compliance with the government’s requirements.\nAs a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers.\nWork Location: On-site, Arlington, VA\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines that support application build, test, security validation, artifact management, and deployment across multiple environments.\nSupport the DevSecOps pipeline as a shared enterprise service for multiple ARTs, helping standardize delivery practices across the broader Solution Train.\nAutomate build, packaging, deployment, configuration, and promotion processes to improve consistency, speed, auditability, and release quality.\nIntegrate security scanning, policy gates, code quality checks, automated testing, and compliance controls into the software delivery lifecycle.\nImplement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC).\nSupport source control, branching strategies, artifact repositories, configuration management, and version traceability across enterprise environments.\nAssist with environment provisioning, toolchain updates, patching, and ongoing sustainment of DevOps platforms and related services.\nCoordinate with cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to ensure delivery pipelines align with RMF, STIG, audit, and various security requirements.\nCollaborate with development, release management, cybersecurity, test automation, and platform teams to improve deployment reliability and reduce delivery bottlenecks.\nMonitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.\nEnforce DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning and compliance checks into pipelines.\nDevelop and maintain DevOps documentation including pipeline diagrams, runbooks, and architecture guides.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nBachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n3 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related technical role., 1 year of hands-on experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines, 1 year of Unix/Solaris experience.\nDemonstrated expertise in: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerization, cloud platforms, monitoring; experienced with UNIX/Solaris.\nExperience with pipeline automation, scripting, build/release processes, configuration management, and deployment support.\nExperience with version control systems, artifact promotion, and environment coordination across multiple lifecycle stages.\nExperience supporting release readiness, rollback planning, deployment evidence, and change-controlled production promotions.\nFamiliarity with integrating security and quality controls into delivery pipelines.\nStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across development, testing, operations, release, and cybersecurity teams.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nMust possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.\nDesired Skills:\nCertified DevOps Engineer\nExperience with Oracle-based enterprise applications, middleware, databases, or PeopleSoft environments.\nExperience with scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.\nFamiliarity with tools and platforms such as Splunk, ServiceNow, CAST, PHIRE, Stonebranch, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Data Guard, Kafka, or related enterprise platforms.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure/configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent, where applicable to the client environment.\nExperience supporting deployment pipelines and engineering processes in multi-network or segregated environments, including NIPRNET/SIPRNET considerations.\nExperience implementing DevOps pipelines for DoD or federal agency programs.\nExposure to OCI/cloud migration or hybrid enterprise modernization efforts is a plus\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).\nAdditional Information:\nClearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.\n Work Environment: On-site as required by the contract.\nThis is a full-time, W2 position.\nNo agencies, third parties, or Corp-to-Corp submissions.\nSpatial Front Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer -
