The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem and Google Workspace (Google App Solutions). This role will be responsible for architecting scalable configurations, leading complex migrations, building custom integrations, and ensuring robust security compliance across both platforms to maximize organization productivity.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Administration & Architecture: Manage large-scale Atlassian Cloud sites and Google Workspace/App environments, overseeing user lifecycles, global permissions, and governance standards.\n Integration & Automation: Build robust, scalable integrations between Atlassian tools, Google Apps, and third-party SaaS stacks utilizing REST APIs, Webhooks, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)\nCustom Development: Design custom solutions using Atlassian APIs and Google Apps Scripts to automate routine operational tasks.\nCross-Functional Support: Partner with product, R&D and IT Operations teams to resolve complex performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical documentation.\nRequirements\nRequired Education & Soft Skills:\nEducation: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.\n Methodologies: Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) to align tool configuration with team processes.\nCore Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multi-tasking abilities.\nTechnical Experience:\nGeneral Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application engineering, systems administration, or platform development, demonstrating verified hands-on expertise in architecting, deploying, and supporting complex cloud ecosystems.\n Atlassian Expertise: 6+ years of specialized experience with deep technical proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (JSM) Cloud environments. Proven track record in configuring enterprise-scale projects, designing advanced custom workflow schemas, implementing granular permission schemes, and leveraging built-in and third-party automation engines to streamline operational processes.\n Google Solutions Expertise: 6+ years with a proven track record of administering enterprise Google Workspace environments, configuring integration points with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and building custom extensions using Google Apps Script and Google Workspace APIs.\nScripting and API Proficiency: High level of proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Google Apps Script, Groovy, Python, or Bash. Hands-on experience developing against REST APIs, consuming endpoints, parsing structured data, and managing webhooks for system integrations.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFederal government experience\nITIL knowledge\nAgile/DevOps familiarity\nScripting skills (Python, PowerShell)\nExperience executing cloud migrations or tenant-to-tenant consolidations for Atlassian or Google Tools.\nFamiliarity with enterprise automation platforms.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines\nCertifications (Preferred):\nAtlassian Certified Enterprise Jira Administrator or Atlassian Certified Cloud Organization Admin\nGoogle Cloud Certified Professional Google Workspace Administrator\nAdditional Information:\nThis position requires an in-person interview at one of SFI's offices in the Washington, DC, metro area.\nIn order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be US Citizen and/or Current Green Card Holder.\nAll candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.\nPublic Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.\nOther Information:\nThe salary for this position is $75,000 -
