The ERP SME will support one of the scrum teams operating within a large-scale modernization project for a Federal enterprise platform. This role is best suited for a senior functional/techno-functional ERP professional with strong experience in PeopleSoft, enterprise business processes, system modernization, and Agile delivery. Unlike a broad enterprise ERP advisor role, this position is embedded with a delivery team and is expected to work closely with product, functional, engineering, testing, data, and operations stakeholders to help modernize and improve ERP capabilities.\nThe ERP SME will help shape requirements, refine backlog items, support modernization initiatives, validate business process alignment, and guide delivery across areas such as PeopleSoft technology uplift, de-customization, technical debt reduction, data quality improvement, low-code/no-code enablement, automation, integration support, testing, and operational optimization. The ideal candidate combines deep ERP domain knowledge with practical delivery experience and can bridge the gap between business needs, functional design, technical implementation, and user adoption in a mission-critical Federal environment.\nAs a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers.\nWork Location: On-site, Arlington, VA\nKey Responsibilities:\nServe as the ERP subject matter expert for a team within the modernization agile release train, supporting modernization, sustainment, and enhancement of enterprise ERP capabilities.\nProvide deep functional and techno-functional expertise in PeopleSoft and related ERP business processes, configurations, integrations, and downstream impacts.\nSupport ERP system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements including requirements analysis, design, and testing.\nPartner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, developers, testers, and Government stakeholders to define, refine, and validate requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog priorities.\nSupport modernization initiatives such as PeopleSoft technology uplift and upgrade support, De-customization and simplification of legacy functionality, Technical debt identification and reduction, Data quality remediation and data validation, Process automation and workflow improvement, Low-code/no-code enablement where appropriate, Integration improvements and interface support, test modernization and business validation.\nDevelop and deliver ERP training programs and user documentation.\nSupport functional design, configuration analysis, defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex ERP issues across business process, data, and integration areas.\nWork with technical teams to assess customizations and help identify opportunities for de-customization, rationalization, standardization, and adoption of delivered functionality.\nSupport PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM adoption, PeopleTools-related changes, regression validation, and feature/functionality assessments.\nProvide expert guidance on ERP best practices, industry standards, and federal regulatory requirements.\nSupport data migration activities including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.\nSupport testing efforts including SIT, UAT, regression testing, business validation, and defect management, ensuring solutions meet business and mission needs.\nProduce ERP-related documentation including functional specifications, configuration guides, and test scripts.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nBachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.\n10 years of experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, modernization efforts, or major enterprise platform delivery.\n7+ years of experience serving as an ERP SME, lead functional analyst, techno-functional lead, or similar role on large enterprise systems.\nDirect experience with PeopleSoft, preferably in HCM, or other complex enterprise environments. \nDemonstrated expertise in: business process optimization, data migration, integration, change management.\nExperience working in Agile delivery environments, including support for scrum teams, user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative delivery.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nMust possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.\nDesired Skills:\nRelevant certifications such as PeopleSoft HCM/ERP, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent ERP-related certifications.\nExperience supporting PeopleSoft modernization in a Federal or DoD environment.\nExperience with PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleTools, PUM, upgrade support, delivered functionality analysis, and customization reduction.\nExperience supporting ERP capabilities related to HR, pay, workforce, personnel, or enterprise operations.\nExperience with low-code/no-code tools, workflow automation, AI-assisted process improvement, or governed citizen development in enterprise settings.\nExperience supporting ERP implementations within DoD or federal agency programs.\nFamiliarity with SAFe, Agile Release Trains, and scaled Agile delivery models.\nFamiliarity with federal financial management and HR regulatory requirements.\nExperience with ERP system integration using APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.\nAdditional Information:\nClearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.\n Work Environment: On-site as required by the contract.\nThis is a full-time, W2 position.\nNo agencies, third parties, or Corp-to-Corp submissions.\nSpatial Front Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer -
