As a key member of the team, the application Developer will interface with the customers and developers supporting a range of software development activities including requirements collection and analysis, technical architecture design, detailed software design, implementation, test and integration for new and existing systems. Strong development experience using Java-centric Software technologies in AWS is a critical qualification for this position.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and integrate custom JAVA backend applications and solutions\nDesign and develop Microservice applications in a cloud environment\nInterface with senior-level customer management and SMEs\nResolve complex design, implementation, and/or performance issues\nWork with the Information Security Organization to ensure that developed solutions meet all security requirements\nSupport all development and delivery activities, from requirements definition and specification to deployment and delivery to production.\nConsult with project teams and end users to identify new requirements; identify areas for improvement.\nAssist in the identification and evaluation of new/emerging technologies, COTS products, development, and testing tools.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.\n10+ years of recent software development experience\nHands-on Java development experience, including three years of Java Open-Source frameworks and technologies.\nExperience in developing innovative Java-centric, scalable, secure enterprise custom applications\nExperience developing microservice applications and APIs\nExperience with Java EE and Java Frameworks (Spring Framework, Hibernate…)\nExperience with web applications, SOA, web services (SOAP or RESTful) development, and deployment\nExperience with REACT\nExperience with AWS services and technologies\nExperience with large-scale relational database design and development using PostgreSQL\nExperience in applying Agile/Scrum methodology\nExperience leading or contributing to multiple concurrent software development projects \nStrong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers\nDesired Skills & Qualifications\nExperience with Oracle Spatial\nExperience with Python\nExperience with PL/SQL\nJava certifications: Certified Professional Java EE Web Component Developer, Certified Professional Java EE Developer, Application Developer, Certified Master Java SE Developer.\nAdditional Information\nTo meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be a US citizen\nAll candidates will be subject to a complete background check, including, but not limited to, Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment, and Credit History.\nPublic Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and require fingerprinting.\nOther Information\n Clearance: Must be a US citizen, and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Professional Certifications, and Credit History.
