We provide delivery oversight and business development for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).\nWork Location\nOn-Site NOAA Building College Park, MD\nResponsibilities\nOversee day to day operation of the Linux and Windows workstations service desk.\nOversee and Perform quarterly baseline and ad-hoc security updates on all operating systems\nOversee and Patch operating systems and third party software via automated tools \nCreate Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Status reports. \nAssigns and tracks tasks for the team\nWorks with Federal leads to Track and follow through on assignments\nWorks with Program manager to meet all requirements in the PWS. \nSelect, install, configure, and administer hardware and software systems over a LAN/WAN architecture;\nInstall and maintain system upgrades, operating and security patches, and peripheral devices;\nPerforms moderately complex systems and database administration. Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance;\nSupport, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to workstations\nRecommend and schedule repairs or replacement of equipment;\nOversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages;\nInstall, configure, and manage the equipment and software necessary to perform system backups and recovery of applications and data;\nMaintain system and data files, and monitor system integrity;\nDevelops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of the system-supporting process and procedure documentation;\nInteracts with client management to answer questions, problems, and requests regarding complex system issues;\nProvides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. \nRequirements\n Candidates must be able to pass a US Public Trust background check for badging and to access client systems.\nExcellent communication skills able to translate technical information into plain language. \nMS Office and Google Docs skills\nMust be able to physically lift and carry property weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.\nDesired\nLinux system management with Satellite Server\nWindows System management AD/SCCM\nBigFix Experience\nAdditional Information:\nIn order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be US Citizen and/or Current Green Card Holder.\nAll candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.\nPublic Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.\nOther Information:\nThe salary for this position is $85,000 -
