Speak is one of the world’s leading AI companies, with over $150m raised in venture investment from OpenAI, Accel, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and more, with a distributed team across San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Ljubljana.\nAbout this role\nWe're building a product capability out of what's currently a production bottleneck.\nSpeak already has a scaled consumer product and a hard mission: help people actually become fluent, not just feel productive in an app. The long-term vision is a superhuman tutor - a system that understands a learner's level, goals, mistakes, context, and next best step, then creates or recommends the right lesson, conversation, drill, assessment, or review at the right moment.\nRight now, enabling new languages and creating new professional courses depend on manual production. This role exists to build the product system that scales at the speed of software, makes high-velocity content generation possible with real quality guarantees, human review workflows, and pedagogical integrity.\nWe're looking for a Product Manager who can personally drive that transformation - designing evals, building authoring and quality workflows, connecting generation to learner outcomes, and raising execution quality across every team involved.\nWhat you'll be doing\nOwn the content generation and quality product roadmap\n\nDesign and ship authoring, generation, QA, evals, and content improvement loops for internal and external users\n\nBuild product workflows for human expert review, automation, and quality gates\n\nPartner closely with curriculum, AI, engineering, product, and learning teams\n\nDefine evals and ship/no-ship criteria for AI-generated lessons, feedback, and content variants\n\nBuild feedback loops from learner behavior (ratings, completion, complaints, expert review) back into generation quality\n\nDesign the end-to-end workflow that moves priority content from request → generated draft → human review → launch\n\nWhat we're looking for\nMust-have Qualifications\n6+ years of hands-on Product Management experience\n\nExperience with AI product systems: generated content, authoring tools, workflow automation, evals, QA, or expert-review workflows\n\nTechnical fluency around model behavior, data quality, reliability, and user trust - enough to define real product requirements, not just relay them\n\nStrong written communication and structured thinking\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional outcomes without formal authority or direct reports\n\nNice-to-have Qualifications\nExperience with creator tooling or content operations at scale\n\nFamiliarity with content quality programs, pedagogical frameworks, or learning science\n\nWhy work at Speak\nJoin a fantastic, tight-knit team at the right time: we're growing very quickly, we've most recently raised our Series C from some of the top investors in the valley, and we've achieved product-market fit in our initial markets.
