Reach out - we’re here to help you build your career at Specialized.\nJOB SUMMARY\nA critical member of the Specialized retail network, the assistant store manager balances excellence in retail operations with a passion for people, and the power of a great brand. The assistant store manager encourages successful, profitable retail and takes that expertise tothe next level as a pacesetter of outstanding brand experiences, in store, as the store manager sees fit and directs. The assistant store manager works collaboratively and hands-on with staff and local riders as a host, brand advocate, and customer service ace. This role also works cross-functionally with other members of the Specialized team to support store-basedevents founded on education, advocacy, and brand/retail innovation. The assistant store managerensures all staff deliver exceptional rider service; enhancerider satisfaction; andaids in meeting sales and profitability goals as set forth by the Store Manager and Retail Leadership.\nHOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE\nAct as store’s representative and set an example for our staff by leading retail teammates and direct all daily operations of the shop in the absence of the Store Manager. \nAssist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations with tasks including scheduling, inventory count, and team development. \nCoach and support new and existing retail teammates. \nAssist the Store Manager in aiding in the overall profitability of the retail store, namely covering/exceeding the store’s run cost to maximize the contribution to the topline revenue of Specialized Bicycle Components, nationally. \nEnsure the conveyance of transformative, inclusive, ride-focused, locally authentic and collaborative experiences for staff and riders alike inside and out, c/o The Specialized Way. \nTrack the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals and assist the Store Manager with store performance objectives. \nAid in establishing and sustaining all clientele (establish long-term relationships with key riders and retailers, based on data about their preferences, behaviors, and purchases). \nAid in upholding all organizational/cleanliness standards for the retail location. \nAid in ensuring timely delivery of all special orders and home deliveries. \nCollaborate with service manager to ensure proper rider expectation management and timely delivery of all service and achieving overall service metrics. \nCollaborate with operations/receiving manager to assist with inventory management, including receival, processing, and merchandising of all new inventory and of existing on-hand inventory. \nEnsure compliance with all company policies and procedures. \nOther duties as assigned. \nWHAT YOU NEED TO WIN\nPassion for cycling and the Specialized brand \nFormer retail experience with 1+ years of experience preferred \nExcellent communication with the ability to effectively interact with riders and team members \nMust be able to work as business dictates which includes weekends and holidays \nAbility to stand for extensive time periods; while occasionally walking, kneeling, or reaching \nAble to lift at least 50lbs. or more and use proper lifting skills \nTELL ME MORE\nCompetitive health care (Medical PPO or HDHP)*\nCompensation: $22-$24/hr plus commission\nDental*\nVision*\nHealth Savings Account (HSA)\nShort and Long Term Disability\nCompany sponsored life insurance\nOptional Term Life Insurance\nOptional Critical Illness insurance\nOptional Critical Accident insurance\nCompetitive vacation package*\n401(k) with match\n8 Weeks paid parental leave\nPaid company holidays\nEmployee discounts on all product\nDeep partner retail discounts\nFitness & Events Reimbursement\nEmployee Assistance Program\nCommuter Benefits *if applicable in state\n*For eligible employees\nHere at Specialized we believe that bikes have the power to change lives.
