This role involves working closely with our support staff, including front office, billing and insurance teams, other schedulers, as well as members of the clinical team and doctors.No travel is required for this role.\nYour Responsibilities\nDeliver outstanding customer service to patients and referral offices via phone.\nManage a multi-line phone queue system to assist callers efficiently.\nDirect callers to the appropriate department or individual as needed. \nAssess, document, and communicate post-surgical questions and concerns to RN using clinical messaging.\nSchedule patient consultations and surgical procedures in the EMR system, following established policies and protocols.\nAccurately complete insurance verification forms and obtain necessary insurance information.\nEducate patients on in-network and out-of-network insurance policies and procedures.\nReschedule appointments as needed due to schedule changes.\nPerform additional duties such as patient registration, EMR data entry/scanning, and chart preparation.\nComply with all HIPAA regulations and model the Practice’s values. \nYour Background \nAt least 1+ years of experience as a scheduler in a dental environment or in customer service preferred\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and the dental team.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.\nProficiency in dental software and basic computer skills. \nUnderstanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes. \nEmpathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.\nHigh school diploma required.\nMust be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.\nMust be able to operate standard office equipment\nMust be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas\nMust be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods\nMust be able to work around medical equipment and instruments\nMust be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards\nMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements\nMust be able to respond quickly in emergency situations\n Why You Should Join Our Team \nA career with us is a chance to work with everyone involved in the future of Specialty dental care.
