With offices in Boston and Peabody, MA, Specter leverages its advanced propulsion technologies, manufacturing, and testing capabilities to rapidly develop supersonic and hypersonic systems. Our Electrical Engineer I/II will be based in our Boston (Seaport) office. Funded by a mix of government R&D organizations and private funding, Specter is expanding its team in preparation for flight testing and full-scale production.\nRole Responsibilities\nDesign, integrate, and test custom avionics hardware for hypersonic flight vehicles and ground support equipment.\nDevelop analog and digital circuits for sensing, data acquisition, communications, power distribution, and vehicle control.\nPerform componentselection, schematic capture, PCB design, and supporting design analysis.\nComplete PCB bring-up, characterization, troubleshooting, and verification using laboratory equipment.\nInterface with electrical, embedded software, GNC, mechanical, and test engineers to refine requirements and define electrical interfaces.\nDevelop test plans and procedures for system shakedown, debugging, and validation.\nSupport vehicle integration, environmental testing, and flight test activities.\nTake ownership of assigned projects from initialconcept through implementation, testing, and documentation.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.\nExperience applying electrical engineering fundamentals through professional work, research, coursework, or student projects.\nFamiliarity with analog and digital circuit design.\nExperience using ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar.\nExperience bringing up and testing custom PCBs or other electrical systems.\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, componentdatasheets, and technical documentation.\nExperience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, or signal analyzers.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.\nStrong collaborative skills and a drive to produce high-quality work.\nEligible to obtain and maintaina U.S. Secret security clearance;
