Specter's mission is to help automate the physical world.

Today, we build video sensors with state-of-the-art AI agents that answer any question, anywhere in their environments. Our systems can automatically detect and reason about any physical activity captured on camera, from security incidents (e.g. perimeter intrusion, theft, LPR), to safety monitoring (e.g. PPE detection, injured people), to operational efficiency (e.g. material tracking, congestion monitoring). We offer both long range wireless (1km range) and wired sensor variants to suit any deployment.

Our co-founders Xerxes and Philip are passionate about empowering our partners in the fast approaching world of physical AI and robotics. We are a small, fast growing team who hail from Anduril, Tesla, Uber, and the U.S. Special Forces.

The Role

We are looking for a Business Operations, Commercial Lead to help build the operating infrastructure behind Specter’s go-to-market motion. This person will work across sales, customer-facing operations, revenue processes, market strategy, people operations, and company systems. The role is intentionally broad. The goal is not to hire someone to perform a fixed set of GTM tasks, but to bring in a strong commercial operator who can identify bottlenecks, build repeatable systems, and help the business scale its customer-facing motion. The right person is analytical, commercially sharp, highly organized, and comfortable working across leadership, sales, product, finance, and operations. They should be able to move between strategy and execution: one day helping structure a customer business case or market analysis, another day tightening the sales processes that drive GTM motion.

Responsibilities:

• You will help build the systems that make Specter’s commercial engine more repeatable, measurable, and scalable.

• You will partner with leadership and GTM teams on pipeline visibility, forecasting, customer materials, pricing operations, proposal support, and market analysis.

• You will help turn learnings from customers and deployments into structured feedback for the business.

• You will support the company’s broader operating rhythm by helping create processes, dashboards, documentation, and decision frameworks.

• You will help connect commercial priorities to company planning, hiring, finance, and execution.

• You will take on ambiguous business problems as they arise and drive them from “someone should figure this out” to a clear owner, process, and outcome.

Qualifications:

• A high-agency generalist with strong commercial instincts.

• Experience in business operations, consulting, sales operations, revenue operations, strategy, investing, startup operations, or a similarly analytical commercial role.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfort with data, spreadsheets, CRM systems, operating metrics, and process design.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, finance, product, engineering, and leadership.

• Strong judgment and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.

• A builder mentality: you are excited to create the first version of a system, not just inherit one.

• Interest in hard industries, physical operations, critical infrastructure, defense, energy, or industrial technology.
