You will work closely with our Marketing team to build and refine web pages, implement new functionality, and ensure our WordPress environment is well-maintained and scalable. \nWe're looking for a self-directed developer who communicates clearly, manages their own workload effectively, and takes ownership of deliverables from start to finish. You should be equally comfortable building new features from scratch and jumping into an existing codebase to troubleshoot and improve it. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and an eye for design to every engagement. \nHourly Range: $75 - $85/hour, commensurate with experience \nLocation: \nThis position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in-person company events and other ad hoc meetings. \nCandidate must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas. \nResponsibilities \nDesign, develop, and maintain WordPress-based web properties, including custom themes and plugins \nBuild and update landing pages, campaign pages, and site sections in close collaboration with Marketing and Design \nImplement responsive, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) \nOptimize site performance including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO best practices \nManage WordPress configuration, plugin updates, and security hardening \nIntegrate third-party tools and APIs including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms \nTroubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues in a timely manner \nMaintain clean, well-documented code and follow established development standards \nSupport QA and testing processes to ensure consistent, high-quality releases \nCollaborate asynchronously with a remote-first team across Marketing, Design, and Operations \nRequirements \n5+ years of professional web development experience, with significant focus on WordPress \nStrong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (vanilla and/or modern frameworks) \nHands-on experience building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins from scratch \nExperience with WordPress VIP, including familiarity with its hosting environment, deployment workflows, and code standards \nFamiliarity with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar tools \nExperience integrating HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar platforms \nUnderstanding of web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO \nSolid grasp of WordPress security best practices and site hardening \nExperience with Git-based version control workflows \nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment \nStrong written communication skills for async collaboration \nNice to Haves \nExperience with B2B tech or cybersecurity companies \nFamiliarity with headless WordPress or REST API integrations \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
