(SAI) is looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative engineering intern who will work closely with imaging, mechanical, and electrical engineers to support the current and new imaging system.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupporting laboratory testing and engineering experiments\nAssisting with data collection, analysis, and reporting\nBuilding, modifying, and troubleshooting engineering prototypes and test fixtures\nSupporting optical, electrical, and mechanical design verification activities\nAssisting with product characterization and performance evaluations\nMaintaining laboratory equipment, inventory, and engineering documentation\nSupporting engineering change activities and technical documentation updates\nAssisting with manufacturing, calibration, and production test development activities as needed\nCollaborating with cross-functional engineering teams on development projects\nRequired education and experience:\nIn process of obtaining a BS (senior year) or a graduate degree in a relevant degree\nExperience in pursuing lab experiments, report documentation.\nAn enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who thrives in multidisciplinary environments, consistently delivering high-quality results with a positive attitude and professional mindset.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nSolid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical engineering principles\nFamiliarity with common CAD software packages (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, Solidworks, etc.)\nStrong object-oriented programming skills in Python, C or C++, Image Processing\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
