Speed Bay is building a national portfolio designed to deliver durable, long-term value through disciplined acquisitions, operational excellence, and technology-enabled performance.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a current undergraduate student to gain hands-on experience with a growing commercial real estate investment and management platform.\nAbout the Role\nSpeed Bay's Internship Program is designed for students who want more than busywork. Each intern is placed with a focus in one of our core departments: Acquisitions, Asset Management, Accounting/Finance, Legal/Due Diligence, or Technology, and works alongside experienced professionals on the deals and properties that make up our growing portfolio of shallow bay, multi-tenant light industrial assets.\nInterns take on meaningful, business-critical projects within their chosen department, partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, and build functional expertise in their focus area while gaining a broad view of the commercial real estate lifecycle, from acquisition through asset management. The program culminates in a final presentation to Speed Bay leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nAcquisitions\nSupport due diligence on prospective acquisitions, including market research, property-level analysis, and document review.\nAssist with underwriting models and investment committee materials.\nHelp track deal pipeline activity and coordinate with brokers and third-party vendors.\nAsset Management\nAssist with property-level financial analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting.\nSupport lease administration, tenant communications, and property management coordination.\nHelp prepare quarterly portfolio reporting and ad hoc leadership requests.\nAccounting/Finance\nSupport month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.\nAssist with budget variance analysis and ad hoc financial modeling.\nHelp maintain accurate records across the accounting system.\nLegal/Due Diligence\nAssist with document review and organization for acquisitions and portfolio transactions.\nSupport contract tracking and compliance recordkeeping.\nHelp coordinate due diligence checklists and third-party vendor deliverables.\nTechnology\nSupport internal systems and data management projects.\nAssist with process automation and reporting tool development.\nHelp troubleshoot technology needs across departments.\nQualifications\n Rising seniors only: currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering your final year at the time of the internship.\nA course of study aligned to one of our focus areas (e.g., Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business, Legal Studies/Pre-Law, Computer Science/MIS).\nStrong analytical skills and genuine curiosity about commercial real estate.\nA self-starter mentality: comfortable asking questions, taking initiative, and owning your work.\nCollaborative, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\nAvailable to work full-time, in-office, for the full duration of the program.\nWhat We Offer\nA paid internship with meaningful, real-world project work, not just busywork.\nMentorship from experienced professionals within the department you want to learn more about.\nDirect exposure to a growing portfolio of shallow bay, multi-tenant light industrial assets.\nThe opportunity to present your work to Speed Bay leadership at the end of the program.\nA culture built on high standards: we hold ourselves to a high bar, work hard, and take real pride in building something great, and we show up for each other along the way.\nNote: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive. Interns are compensated at $27.00 per hour on a full-time (40 hours per week) basis for the duration of the program, June 8, 2027 to August 11, 2027.
