Speed Bay is building a national portfolio designed to deliver durable, long-term value through disciplined acquisitions, operational excellence, and technology-enabled performance.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join an emerging commercial real estate operating platform focused on acquiring and managing multi-tenant light industrial shallow bay properties in key metropolitan areas across the US.\nAbout the Role\nSpeed Bay is seeking an experienced Lease Operations Administrator to lead lease administration and CAM charge and pool setup for a growing portfolio. This role owns the accuracy and integrity of lease data from setup through CAM charge and pool setup, and builds and refines the processes that support the accounting and leasing teams.\nThis individual will also provide day-to-day leadership within the lease administration function, with potential future oversight of an offshore team as the portfolio scales. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of lease administration or property accounting experience, strong fluency in CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges and CAM pool setup, and the judgment to operate independently and drive process improvement with minimal oversight.\nKey Responsibilities\nLease Administration & CAM Oversight\nReview and abstract commercial lease agreements, independently resolving ambiguous or non-standard lease terms.\nOwn CAM charge calculations and CAM pool setup, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease terms; support the Property Accounting Manager with data and documentation for annual CAM reconciliations and true-ups.\nAccurately input and maintain lease data in Yardi, ensuring alignment with lease terms and flagging discrepancies before they become downstream issues.\nMaintain organized, audit-ready lease files and supporting documentation.\nProcess & Systems Ownership\nDesign, document, and continuously improve lease administration workflows and standard operating procedures as the portfolio scales.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline lease setup, CAM charge and pool setup, and leasing commission processes, and implement solutions with minimal oversight.\nServe as the go-to subject matter expert on Yardi lease setup and CAM charge and pool setup methodology for the accounting and leasing teams.\nLeadership & Team Management\nSupervise, train, and mentor lease administration staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.\nSupport onboarding and ongoing development of team members, with potential future oversight of an offshore lease administration team.\nSet priorities and manage workload distribution across the lease administration function.\nAccounting & Cross-Functional Support\nPartner with the accounting and leasing teams to resolve complex lease setup and accounting questions.\nOversee the leasing commission process, including invoice review and payment processing.\nSupport month-end close activities and provide lease-related analysis to the Property Accounting Manager as needed.\nPartner with the Leasing Manager on the setup and administration of new leases.\nQualifications\n3-5 years of experience in lease administration, commercial real estate accounting, or property accounting, with hands-on CAM experience\nStrong working knowledge of CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges, CAM pool setup, and lease abstraction.\nDemonstrated ability to build, document, and improve processes and workflows with minimal direction.\nPrior experience supervising, training, or mentoring team members strongly preferred; comfort managing remote or offshore team members a plus.\nProficiency in Yardi or similar property management/accounting systems.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and operate independently.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary and bonus structure.\nComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.\n401(k) plan.\nGrowth opportunities within a thriving real estate company.\nOpportunity to build and lead Speed Bay's lease administration function as the portfolio grows.\nA collaborative and supportive work environment.\nNote:This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and Speed Bay Senior Management approval.
