As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be working with a team of software, systems, and network engineers, to develop, deliver, and operate next generation communication products over a variety of common and highly specialized communication paths. This role will be responsible for working independently, actively, and confidently promote improvements, and incorporate new technologies, throughout the lifecycle of each product.\nWhat you will do:\nAnalyze, design and implement continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.\nDesign infrastructure-as-code standard processes and toolkit.\nSupport architectural decisions on all product implementations.\nDrive architectural excellence, improving observability and monitoring.\nIdentify improvement areas and recommend design changes for maintaining operational excellence.\nWhat we need from you:\nDemonstrable Proficiency/Experience in managing Linux based systems\nExperience in building/deploying using containers (e.g., Docker, LXD)\nExperience building/deploying using containers (e.g., K8s, Amazon ECS/EKS)\nExperience In scripting (e.g., bash, python)\nExperience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)\nExperience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)\nExperience with source version control (git)\nExperience with designing and deploying robust, cloud-native architectures\nExperience implementing CI/CD Pipelines (e.g., AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline, Bitbucket Pipelines, Github Actions)\nEven better if you have:\nExperience in the Linux network stack (routing & firewall)\nExperience in software defined switching/networking (e.g., Openvswitch)\nExperience designing network architectures (e.g., ELB, Cloudfront, Route53)\nExperience designing data structures/database schemas (e.g., YAML, JSON, SQL, NoSQL)\nExperience in SQL and caching databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis)\nExperience with serverless AWS services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, ECS Fargate)\nFamiliarity with Scrum and other Agile processes\nWorking at Speedcast:\nAt Speedcast, we want people that like adventure.
