In addition to overseeing day-to-day operational coordination, this person contributes to cost optimization, supplier performance, continuous improvement, and the development of strategies related to fleet, transportation, and material handling equipment.\nThis role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional who wants to evolve into a broader strategic role and actively contribute to the transformation of these activities on a national scale.\nSalary range : $85,000 - $100,000\nKey Responsibilities\nManage operational activities related to the company vehicle fleet.\nCoordinate transportation services provided by third-party partners.\nEnsure the management, availability, and proper functioning of material handling equipment (MHE).\nMonitor and control costs associated with fleet operations, transportation, and MHE, in accordance with approved frameworks.\nCollaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize operations.\nAnalyze operational performance, prepare operational and financial reports, and make recommendations to support decision-making.\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and implement initiatives aimed at cost optimization and improved service levels.\nParticipate in the development of sourcing and category management strategies related to fleet, transportation, and MHE.\nManage supplier performance and monitor cost, quality, and service indicators.\nIdentify and assess opportunities for outsourcing, automation, or process improvement.\nParticipate in RFPs, negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the categories under their responsibility.\nRequired Profile\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fleet management, logistics, transportation, asset-intensive operations, or a related field.\nUniversity degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nAn equivalent combination of technical education, a college diploma, and relevant experience will also be considered.\nProfessional certifications such as APICS, CITT CCLP, or CAFM/NAFA are considered an asset.\nExperience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, contract management, or category management is considered a strong asset.\nExperience in a transformation or continuous improvement environment is considered an asset.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent communication abilities.\nStrong interest in cost optimization, supplier performance, and process improvement.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems, fleet management tools, or inventory management tools is considered an asset.\nWhy Join the Team\nThis role offers the opportunity to actively contribute to the transformation of fleet and transportation management at Belron Canada.
