We are looking for personnel to join our team and support key client projects.\nThe NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.\nThe NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:\nCyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.\nCommand and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.\nSatellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.\nElectronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.\nInformation Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.\nOverall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.\nThe service\nSpektrum delivers end-to-end Communications and Information Systems (CIS) services to NATO CIS Support Units on an outcome basis: service desk and end-user support, provisioning and IMAC, CIS operations, systems, network and cyber security services, collaboration and VTC, logistics and configuration management, engineering, projects, exercise and surge support, service transition and training. Personnel work as part of one integrated, cleared on-site team, under Task Orders issued by the client, and are cross-assigned across services within their competence.\nInternal reference - Labour categories covered\nL16 CIS Operations Technician (incl. 24/7 shift coverage) · L18 Deployable Support Technician (incl. 24/7 shift coverage)\nRole Background\nThe CIS Operations and Deployable Support Technician keeps NATO CIS services running in a headquarters operations centre and in deployed environments. At the main site the role provides 24/7 response and restoration for operational functional services, end-user devices, collaboration and audio-visual systems, voice and network management services. It also supports exercises, operational activations, surge and crisis response.\nAssignments may be day-based, extended-hours or on a rotating 24/7 roster, at the main site or at exercise and deployed locations.\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nProvide 24/7 pre-emptive monitoring, response and restoration for NATO functional services such as LC2IS (SitaWare), NCOP, LOGFAS, TOPFAS, JOCWatch, JCHAT, ICC, AirC2IS and JTS/FAST, within tight targets (typically 30-minute response and 1-hour restoration).\nProvide first-level support and troubleshooting for operations-centre users, including workstations, laptops, printers and accessories, within the same response targets.\nSupport video wall, video matrix and audio services, VoSIP and telephony, and Cisco WebEx / Microsoft Teams for digital and hybrid events.\nSupport the UHF TACSAT radio static service and network management (NNMS) incidents, working with CSU personnel and Layer 2/3 support teams.\nMonitor infrastructure, network and application status; carry out health checks, fault isolation and first-line stabilisation, resolving or escalating to specialist teams.\nWork within a rotating 24/7 roster and complete recorded handovers covering open incidents, active tasks, changes in progress and outstanding actions.\nPrepare, configure and readiness-check IT and communications equipment for exercises and operational activities, and provide in-exercise and deployed support.\nReinforce teams during surge activity and support restoration of critical services during crisis events; recover and hand back services afterwards.\nSupport the technical team during larger digital/hybrid events, take part in daily stand-ups, and keep traceable records in the service management system.\nEssential Skills, Experience and Certifications\nHigher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least two years of post-related experience, or secondary education with at least four years.\nAt least three years of general IT experience including administration of Windows Server, Active Directory and MS SQL Server, with broad and sound knowledge of IT systems.\nPractical experience diagnosing faults in networks and associated equipment.\nInstallation and maintenance of system software: operating systems, data management products, office automation and utility software.\nKnowledge of day-to-day support and control of IT network infrastructure, including backup and restore, network performance statistics, diagnostic information and site surveys.\nAbility to review system software updates, install and test new versions, and investigate and coordinate the resolution of service problems.\nAvailability for a rotating 24/7 roster (nights, weekends and public holidays).\nAvailability to deploy at short notice to exercise, operational or crisis locations within or outside Türkiye.\nDesirable Skills, Experience and Certifications\nExperience supporting NATO functional services (LC2IS/SitaWare, NCOP, LOGFAS, TOPFAS, JOCWatch, JCHAT, ICC, AirC2IS, JTS).\nExperience with video walls, video matrices, audio systems, VoSIP and TACSAT radio.\nPrevious experience supporting NATO or military exercises, deployments or crisis response.\nITIL Foundation; CompTIA Network+ or Security+; CCNA.\nExperience with monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, PRTG, SCOM).\nLanguage Proficiency\nProfessional working proficiency in English, spoken and written (NATO STANAG 6001 SLP 3333 or equivalent desirable).\nWorking Location\nIzmir, Türkiye, with support to the CIS Support Element in Ankara and other NATO locations as tasked.\nWorking Policy\nOn-site or deployed.
