The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.\nThe NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:\nCyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.\nCommand and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.\nSatellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.\nElectronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.\nInformation Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.\nOverall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.\nThe program\nAssistance and Advisory Service (AAS)\nThe NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.\nTo provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.\nConfiguration Manager\n\nRole Background\nThe Configuration Manager maintains accurate, controlled configuration information for the CIS estate. The role is responsible for CMDB integrity, configuration baselines, asset-to-service mapping, configuration audits and change impact assessment, in line with ITIL practices.\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nApply tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items in the CMDB.\nVerify and approve changes to protect assets and components from unauthorised change, diversion and inappropriate use.\nEnsure compliance with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates.\nPerform configuration audits, check information accuracy and take corrective action; keep CMDB and physical inventory aligned.\nDevelop, document and implement changes from requests for change; apply change control procedures and report on change requests.\nCreate and maintain an accurate asset register and produce reports and analysis to support asset management decisions.\nMonitor and log the service provided against service level agreements.\nUndertake basic risk management and maintain documentation of risks, threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation actions.\nApply data modelling and design techniques; establish, maintain and communicate data structures.\nEssential Skills, Experience and Certifications\nHigher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least three years of post-related experience, or secondary education with at least five years.\nAt least three years of practical experience across all configuration management disciplines in a configuration management role.\nVery good technical understanding of ITSM tools, such as BMC Remedy ITSM Suite v9.1 or later.\nGood understanding of the infrastructure hosting ITSM tools, including MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.\nPractical experience with ITIL change and configuration management best practice.\nDesirable Skills, Experience and Certifications\nITIL Foundation certification.\nExperience with BMC Atrium CMDB / BMC Discovery.\nExperience in NATO or other international military/civilian environments.\nLanguage Proficiency\nProfessional working proficiency in English, spoken and written (NATO STANAG 6001 SLP 3333 or equivalent desirable).\nWorking Location\nIzmir, Türkiye, with support to the CIS Support Element in Ankara and other NATO locations as tasked.\nWorking Policy\nOn-site, normal working hours.\nTravel\nTravel to other NATO sites in the area of responsibility may be required.\nWork Eligibility\nMust hold, or be able to obtain before the start date, the right to work and reside in Türkiye (work and residence permit or Turkish citizenship).\nSecurity Clearance\nValid NATO SECRET personnel security clearance (or national SECRET clearance recognised for NATO SECRET) held at the start of the assignment;
