The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.\nThe NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:\nCyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.\nCommand and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.\nSatellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.\nElectronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.\nInformation Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.\nOverall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.\nThe program\nAssistance and Advisory Service (AAS)\nThe NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.\nTo provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.\nRole ID - C005472\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nGeospatial Data Management\nMaintain, organize, and manage geospatial datasets and metadata.\nSupport data ingestion, transformation, validation, and quality assurance processes.\nDevelop and maintain geodatabases and spatial data repositories.\nMonitor and maintain spatial data integrity, consistency, and version control.\nCoordinate data backups and archival procedures.\nMaintain documentation for geospatial datasets, workflows, and system configurations.\nSupport data governance and compliance with organizational GIS standards.\nCloud and On-Premises GIS Administration Support\nSupport geospatial environments hosted in cloud platforms and on-premises servers. (Regular backups, up to date documentation, system improvement, obsolescence management, etc.)\nCoordinate with Geospatial IT personnel to maintain secure GIS operations.\nAssist with deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GIS services and applications.\nSpatial Analysis Support\nPerform basic spatial analysis using GIS software and scripting tools.\nCreate maps and visualizations to support operational and business needs.\nSupport data preparation for modelling, reporting, and decisionmaking activities.\nAssist in generating standard GIS products and analytical outputs.\nCollaboration and Support\nParticipate in project meetings and provide status updates.\nSupport documentation on all levels.\nCollaborate with analysts, developers and engineers.\nRecommend improvements to geospatial workflows, data management practices, and system efficiency.\nIntegrate into an international team of geospatial experts.\nEssential Skills, Experience and Certifications\nEducation:\nA minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in the area of Geospatial Sciences or related field and 2 years post-related experience.
