Engineering\nRole ID - C005511\nRole Background\nThe NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to support the design, development and delivery of cybersecurity capabilities and secure infrastructure solutions.\nThe role combines cybersecurity engineering, solution architecture, risk management and technical project leadership, supporting NCIA and the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).\nThe successful candidate will contribute to cybersecurity solution design, technical requirements, procurement activities, security risk assessments and the implementation of cybersecurity capabilities across operational environments.\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nDesign and develop cybersecurity solution architectures for infrastructure, business and functional environments.\nEvaluate alternative technical architectures considering security, performance, cost and scalability.\nProduce architecture specifications, technical designs and documentation for cloud-based and on-premises solutions.\nIdentify cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats and architectural risks.\nConduct security risk assessments and business impact teams.\nDesirable Experience:\nPrevious experience working for or supporting military or governmental organisations.\nFamiliarity with complex, multi-stakeholder cybersecurity environments.\n\nEducations and Certifications\nEducation:\n- Bachelor's degree from a nationally recognised or certified university in a related discipline, together with at least 3 years of post-related experience.\nAlternative education pathway:\n- Candidates without a university degree may exceptionally qualify with at least 10 years of extensive and progressive relevant experience, demonstrating abilities of particular interest to NCIA.\nRelevant Certifications:\nCertified Information Security Manager (CISM).\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).\nGIAC
