The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.\nRole ID - 2026-0147\nRole Background\nA leading NATO training academy in Oeiras, Portugal is seeking an experienced technical instructor to deliver user and data manager training on Joint Targeting System (JTS), FAST and ICC systems to students from the NATO Command Structure, NATO Force Structure, member nation MODs and Partners-for-Peace units. You will deliver course iterations on-site in Oeiras and as part of a Mobile Training Team at NATO and national locations in Europe and the US, and keep the associated training material up to date with the latest system versions.\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nPrepare and deliver course iterations: review the training package, perform minor courseware updates, and validate the training environment, accounts, access and exercises before delivery\nDeliver theory, demonstrations and practical exercises, and support students throughout the course\nRun assessments, collect student feedback, and provide attendance and results with a short training completion report\nComplete the Quality Assurance report within one week of each course and the Course Improvement Plan within two weeks, using the Training Management System\nUpdate and maintain course materials (presentations, practical exercises, instructor and student materials) when authorised, in line with system updates\nCoordinate course scheduling with the Academy section head and the Learning Coordination and Support Branch\nTravel as part of a Mobile Training Team when courses are confirmed\nMeet agreed performance standards and obtain formal acceptance of each iteration via the Delivery Acceptance Sheet\nCourses in Scope\nJTS / FAST Combined User Course (5 days)\nJTS Data Manager Course (5 days)\nJTS User Course (4 days)\nICC User Course (5 days)\nFAST User Course (3 days)\nJTS / FAST Train the Trainer (10 days)\nEssential Skills, Experience and Certifications\nAdvanced knowledge of ICC, JTS and FAST systems, with in-depth experience of delivering courses to users and operators\nDeep knowledge and experience of NATO doctrine and standards relevant to Common Operations\nKnowledge and experience of the NATO Command Structure and NATO Force Structure\nExperience developing technical documentation, training materials and instructional aids\nExperience working in an international environment with military and civilian personnel\nAdvanced English\nWillingness to travel and to deliver some training during national public holidays\nDesirable\nNATO CIS Technical Instructor qualification or equivalent\nExperience with the NCI Agency and/or the NCI Academy\nNATO CIS Technical Course Developer qualification or equivalent\nKnowledge of other NATO C2 and Functional Services (e.g. MCCIS, LC2IS, INTEL FS)\nOperational experience that helps put the user courses into a real-world context\nWorking Location\nOn-site (see potential locations below)\nWorking Policy\nOn-site at the NCI Academy in Oeiras, with Mobile Training Team travel as required\nTravel, accommodation and subsistence are included in the iteration price.
