TG-001-11\nVirtualization Administrator\nRole Background\nTrigyn is seeking an experienced Virtualization Administrator for a remote contractual opportunity.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, availability and performance of enterprise virtualization infrastructure, with a primary focus on VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).\nWorking under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Team Lead, the administrator will support daily infrastructure operations, incident resolution, lifecycle management, automation and continuous improvement.\nRole Duties and Responsibilities\nInstall, configure, administer and maintain VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation environments.\nSupport additional virtualization platforms, including Nutanix, Microsoft Hyper-V and OLVM/KVM, as required.\nPerform VMware lifecycle patching, host updates and approved configuration changes.\nMonitor virtual machines, hosts, infrastructure health and capacity.\nInvestigate and resolve virtualization incidents, performance bottlenecks and technical problems.\nApply infrastructure security best practices and maintain compliance with relevant standards.\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, administration and monitoring.\nUse Infrastructure as Code practices to improve operational efficiency.\nParticipate in infrastructure improvements and proof-of-concept deployments.\nCollaborate with storage, networking, backup, security and operating-system teams.\nSupport
