With design and manufacturing sites in North America, Europe and Asia, we have become the preferred provider of high voltage power solutions for OEMs pushing the boundaries of technology around the world by designing and producing the products they need to power progress.\nJob Title: Encapsulation Team Leader\nFunction: Manufacturing\nReporting to: Manufacturing Manager\nMAIN OBJECTIVES\nResponsible for the supervision of the encapsulation process for electro mechanical assemblies and hands\non encapsulation processes.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPlanning, allocating, and co-ordinating workload in accordance with production schedule and other internal customers in line with capacity requirements.\nMaintenance and filter change of Spray booth in accordance with procedures.\nSealing, priming, encapsulating and mechanical assembly of units for encapsulation. Operating automated equipment to pour encapsulation into assemblies.\nCarrying out routine maintenance checks and cleaning of potting machine, compressor and vac pump and training other employees to ensure maintenance tasks are completed. Training employees to ensure there is essential backup for encapsulation tasks.\nRaising production paperwork including non-compliance/rework records and stores requisitions in accordance with company processes.\nWorking as part of a team to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.\nEnsuring all quality procedures for build and workmanship standards, repair techniques and ESD requirements are implemented.\nWorking with other team members to continuously improve quality and processes, maintain and improve housekeeping in accordance with 5S tasks and cleanliness of work area. Ensuring personal protective equipment, particularly respiratory protection requirements, are observed and maintained.\nEnsuring familiarisation with relevant elements of the Company quality management system including static handling precautions and workmanship standards, the use of test equipment/systems and relevant test procedures/specifications.\nSupporting the management systems and improvement team activities for ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental and health and safety management system requirements.\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE\nExperience in an encapsulation process environment.\nUnderstanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.\nAppreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.\nGood communication skills.\nSupervisory / Management Experience\nWorking conditions\n· The role includes the use of PPE where appropriate e.g. safety shoes, eyewear, gloves,\nRespiratory masks.\n· Operation and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.\n· Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.\n· Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30kg (with use of mechanical aids where\napplicable) in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.\n· Occasional lifting and movement of equipment/materials up to 800kg with use of\nmechanical aids in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.\nThe above responsibilities are not exhaustive and you may be required to fulfil other duties and responsibilities from time to time for which you are reasonably qualified.\nWe at Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation believe that each individual is entitled to equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status or disability.
