You will leverage expertise in thermo-mechanical design, electromechanical components, materials, and fabrication practices to deliver durable, efficient, and innovative solutions. A key responsibility includes providing support to manufacturing, sales, and customers, ensuring timely technical input to secure new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead mechanical design and packaging of Spellman products.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fit, function, and compliance.\n\nCreate and validate designs using CAD and analysis tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys).\n\nPerform engineering calculations for mechanical and thermal stresses.\n\nCollaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to optimize design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability (DFX principles).\n\nProduce and maintain detailed technical documentation, including 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and specifications.\n\nSupport continuous improvement and upgrades to existing product lines.\n\nMentor and support Mechanical Engineers during new product development projects.\n\nWhat You Need:\nBS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred.\n\n7-10 years of experience in power electronics packaging and electromechanical systems.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar CAD/FEA tools.\n\nStrong knowledge of electromechanical components and mechanical housing fabrication (sheet metal, weldments, fasteners); casting and plastic molding experience a plus.\n\nFamiliarity with ERP systems and BOM management.\n\nDetail-oriented with strong documentation skills.\n\nAbility to distill complex technical topics into actionable insights.\n\nExcellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.\n\nEnergetic, adaptable, and self-motivated problem solver.\n\nOur good faith salary estimate for this position is $105,000-$135,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
