Spellman’s power sources enable the improvement and saving of lives.\nAbout The Role\nPerform physical and clerical tasks associated with shipments and reception of supplies and finishedproducts. Verify shipping records and correct packaging and labeling. Unpack and receive goods and check for damages and accuracy of shipment. Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.\nWhat You Will Do\nPrepare Domestic and International Bills of Lading.\nPackage and process outgoing production and repair shipments. Process orders through UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager. Process int’l shipments through AES system.\nReceive sales orders for stock items, pull parts from stock, create pick and pack list, package and ship.\nCommunicate with carriers regarding re-routes, expediting goods, discrepancies, and scheduling of pickups and deliveries.\nCoordinate carrier rates with Corporate Supply Chain Management team.\nCommunicate with customs brokers and prepare appropriate paperwork. Monitor and resolve delays. Provide documents or information to the customs broker in order to get goods cleared. Ensure delays are communicated to appropriate sales and customer service personnel.\nInspect and verify incoming material and process Purchase Orders in Glovia. Inform relevant parties of condition of damaged items.\nLoad and unload daily pickups and deliveries.\nDeliver incoming shipments to appropriate departments/locations. Process materials received into stock.\nIssue shortages, pull work order kits, handle part request from production, handle inventory discrepancies, handle work order discrepancies, and complete work orders\nPrepare and follow up on damage claims with carriers and customers.\nOrganize and maintain Shipping and Receiving areas.\nAssist the Customer Service Repair department as needed.\nProactively seek improvements to processes and procedures.\nWhat You Need\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nMinimum 1 year shipping / receiving experience\nBasic computer and mathematical skills\nAbility to understand, follow, and oversee implementation of safety procedures\nExperience working with UPS and FedEx WorldShip Systems\nExperience communicating with LTL and International carriers \nForklift certification strongly preferred\nIAATA (Hazardous Materials) Certification a plus\nFamiliarity with CT-PAT a plus \nWORKING CONDITIONS\nWorking conditions involve both office and manufacturing environments. Must be able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time; able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis; able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone. Work at times will involve frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hard hats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted\nOur good faith estimate of the hourly range for this role is $17.93 - $23.70. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors.
