All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.\nJob Summary:\nThe Patient Care Coordinator coordinates and supports the patient care journey from initial intake through follow-up, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and patient-centered experience.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNo\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nWelcomes clients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries.\nServes clients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.\nOptimizes clients’ satisfaction by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone in a timely and efficient manner.\nKeeps client appointments on schedule by notifying provider of client’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.\nMaintains client record by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.\nCollect, process and record client payments.\nHelps clients in distress by responding to emergencies.\nProcesses incoming mail.\nMaintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExcellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities, including developing relationships with vendors and staff.\nFluency in English and another language is a preferred qualification but not required.\nAbility to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work.\nPossess effective verbal communication skills to answer telephone professionally and to communicate clearly with clients and staff in person.\nPossess effective writing skills to communicate professionally to people inside and outside the organization.\nWorks as an effective and proactive team-player; understands the importance of supporting the office, clients, and co-workers.\nProtects client’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.\nAbility to ensure accuracy of medical records.\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience:\nTwo-year technical college diploma or equivalent education and experience preferred.\nFive or more years of administrative work experience.\nKnowledge of and experience in mental health environment a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nHear and speak to use telephone and communicate with people inside and outside the office.\nSit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.\nApply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use and light maintenance.\nVisual ability to review detailed schedules and information.\nPhysical ability to move around office area repeatedly throughout the day.\nWork Environment:\nThis position is based in an on-site mental healthcare office environment and requires working five days per week, including a regularly scheduled late shift.\nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
