This is a highly influential role where you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership, helping shape secure, scalable, high-performing, multi-tenant applications built on Microsoft Azure.\nYou’ll work closely with agile development teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, guide key architectural decisions, and ensure successful delivery from design through implementation. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor engineers, champion best practices, and help drive the evolution of our cloud technology landscape.\nThe ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of web and cloud development experience, strong expertise in Azure, C#, REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable, secure SaaS solutions. Experience leading development teams and a strong understanding of backend architecture, performance, and security are essential.\nResponsibilities:\nGuide and own the system architecture roadmap and the key technical decisions for a portfolio of solutions.\n\nCoordinate and lead agile development teams to design, estimate, develop, test and deliver commercial software products.\n\nCommunicate clearly the mission, architecture, deadlines, and expectations.\n\nPerform an expert role in the development, configuration, support, and enhancement of Web and Cloud SaaS Multi-tenant solutions\n\nEnsure system scalability and performance by utilizing proper architectural designs\n\nTake an active role in project planning (estimations, timelines, and milestones) and progress tracking. Adjust plans and priorities as necessary.\n\nWork closely with stakeholders to ensure all business requirements, interdependencies and impediments are understood\n\nWrite clean code to develop functional web applications and server-side applications\n\nDevelop and design generic, secure & scalable RESTful services and APIs\n\nMentor and coach more junior members of the team when appropriate\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.\n\nRequired Education:\nUniversity degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.\n\nRequired Experience:\n7+ years of Web and Cloud development using various technologies, frameworks, and tools\n\nDemonstrated experience in architecting and implementing Cloud SaaS multi-tenant systems\n\nKnowledge of Azure Cloud technologies, environment, and services (Application Gateway, Queues, Azure Function, B2C)\n\nExpert knowledge of best practices in back-end architecture, including performance, security and scalability\n\nGood experience with C#, JSON, REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript\n\nDemonstrated experience in leading development teams\n\nWorking knowledge of Azure Dev Ops.\n\nDomain knowledge in life-cycle assessment is an asset\n\nKnowledge or experience in Delphi is an asset\n\nSkills:\nStrong facilitation and coaching skills\n\nAbilities to think creatively to find alternate solutions or creative ways to solve problems.\n\nWork effectively independently and in a dynamic team environment.\n\nProven time management, organizational and follow-up skills to meet deadlines\n\nQuality-oriented with a passion for customer satisfaction\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills\n\nMust be willing to learn new technologies and processes as needed.\n\nStrong work ethic and professionalism\n\nGood communication skills in English.\n\n#LI- Remote\nSphera is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
