We use Azure as our core, but host on multiple platforms due to specific needs and our rapid pace of development and acquisition. The environment is rapidly changing from IaaS to PaaS to server less. So, you’ll need to both apply your current skillsets and learn new things on a daily basis to push the business forward. While you’ll ultimately need a diversity of expert level skills to succeed, having deep understanding and experience in just a couple of areas (cloud infrastructure, scripting, automation, etc) may just get you in the door to a great career.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport application infrastructure to ensure platform is optimized for performance and reliability.\n\nBuild and maintain supporting infrastructure for cloud environments and applications.\n\nUse wide range of Azure resources to implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services.\n\nWork side by side with your engineers, guiding critical projects, using your subject matter expertise to solve complex problems.\n\nPerform and automate system administration services including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery.\n\nIdentify system level issues related to OS configuration and virtual hardware bottlenecks.\n\nAutomation, auditing and other tooling for security, compliance, and resource usage - Monitor and improve processes for all deployments.\n\nTake ownership of operational excellence to establish and maintain business focused KPI's. Use these metrics not only as a basis for positive transformation, but also as a visible representation of your team's success.\n\n Essential skills:\nStrong problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with multiple disciplines\n\nSolid foundation in either IT or Software Engineering\n\nExperience creating pipelines (CI/CD) and automating SaaS solutions in Azure.\n\nStrong automation skills both with scripting languages and Terraform, ARM, etc\n\nAbility to build and optimize cloud-based networks (VNets, App Gateways, etc)\n\nFamiliarity and experience with integrating multiple third-party tools like SonarCloud.\n\nAbility to build environments from the ground up (windows, linux, SQL, Redis, WebApps, etc)\n\nExperience with containerization\n\n Preferred skills:\nKubernetes or other orchestration tools\n\nAzure API management or similar\n\nNewRelic scripted monitors\n\nExperience with security tools (including CheckPoint) and best practices\n\nHadoop, Kafka, Presto (or similar BI/Big Data tech)\n\n#LI-Remote #LI-TB1\nSphera is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
