About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join our team at Spiel and contribute to an international automotive project focused on building an interactive, real-time digital experience that combines web technologies with game-like functionality.

You will work alongside experienced developers, designers, and other technical specialists to build modern, responsive, and high-performance web applications as part of a larger digital automotive ecosystem.

We value strong technical foundations, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem-solving. We also encourage the use of modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding solutions, to support efficient and high-quality software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive, real-time web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces that react smoothly to user input and real-time data.

• Implement interactive features, user controls, and event-driven application logic.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and real-time communication systems.

• Optimize frontend performance, responsiveness, and rendering efficiency to ensure smooth, game-like user experiences.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and other technical specialists to implement interactive features and translate product requirements into functional solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following established engineering standards.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of development workflows.

• Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted solutions, where appropriate to support productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in frontend development.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices.

• Experience building highly interactive, event-driven user interfaces with complex application states and dynamic content.

• Good understanding of real-time data handling, user input management, and performance optimization for smooth, responsive interactions.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with asynchronous data.

• Familiarity with component-based architecture, state management, and reusable UI patterns.

• Understanding of browser rendering, frontend performance, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.

• Familiarity with testing, debugging, and code quality practices.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar solutions, and an understanding of how to use them effectively in everyday development.

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a development team.

• English proficiency at B2/C1 level, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international project environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with interactive applications, gaming platforms, or automotive-related projects.

• Familiarity with Three.js, WebGL, or browser-based 3D experiences.

• Understanding of real-time applications and interactive rendering.

• Experience integrating web applications with Unreal Engine or other game technologies.

• Familiarity with cloud-based applications, streaming technologies, or cloud gaming.

• Experience with JSON-RPC or WebSocket-based communication.

• Experience working in international or distributed teams.

• Interest in automotive, motorsport, gaming, or emerging technologies.
