By hiring the best and brightest minds-and that’s why we want you!\nJob Description:\nHow will you create impact?\nLead and manage multiple product development projects from concept, design validation, prototyping, tooling, pilot production, and mass production.\nSupport the growth strategy of assigned product categories through effective project execution and technical leadership.\nServe as the primary engineering contact for cross-functional stakeholders and external suppliers throughout the product development lifecycle.\nDevelop project plans, monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.\nReview product designs, engineering specifications, and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost optimization.\nDrive design modifications and engineering solutions to ensure compliance with product specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturability expectations.\nProvide technical leadership in product debugging, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and corrective action implementation.\nLead supplier engagement activities, including technical reviews, sourcing support, capacity assessments, and material authorization evaluations.\nParticipate in cost negotiations, MOQ optimization, and sourcing for new or consigned materials.\nParticipate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to achieve cost savings and process improvements. \nGuide and coach Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers, providing technical guidance and project management support.\nLead project review meetings and communicate project status, risks, and escalation items to management.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering organization.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned. How will you fit into the team?\nStrong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.\nAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.\nStrong understanding of product development processes from concept through mass production.\nAbility to evaluate concept drawings, CAD data, prototypes, and manufacturing processes and provide strategic engineering recommendations.\nStrong knowledge of tooling design, injection molding, decoration processes, assembly operations, and packaging development.\nSolid understanding of plastics, packaging materials, and manufacturing technologies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing structured root cause analysis methodologies.\nEffective leadership, influencing, and coaching skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.\nKnowledge of international toy safety and regulatory requirements is preferred. What are your skills and experience?\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum 10 years of product development and engineering experience, preferably within the toy or consumer products industry.\nDemonstrated success managing multiple projects independently from concept through production launch.\nStrong experience in toy development, tooling design, mold qualification, and manufacturing processes.\nExperience managing hard toys, fashion dolls, licensed products, and licensor approval processes.\nProven track record of leading cross-functional teams and supplier relationships.\nWillingness and ability to travel frequently to supplier facilities as required.
