Headquarters in New Jersey, we also have office locations in Maryland, Washington D.C., and California.\nThe Project Engineer will provide support and assistance to the Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met. This will include all routine on-site project administration, scheduling, and engineering elements. Plans, coordinates, and manages on-site construction engineering activities and schedules and communicates with the team.\nAssists in the preparation of monthly pay estimates and updates the Project CPM schedule. Coordinates and updates project budgets, change orders and cost reports for project management review and approval.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssist in the field planning of upcoming projects\nHelp coordinate and manage issues that may develop on site\nAssist Project Superintendents with the implementation of job site safety procedures, notifications, signage, supplies and equipment\nCost coding of various scope items for accounting\nAssists Project Manager with Contract Buyout with subcontractors and material vendors\nWork with Project Manager in communicating effectively\nDraft meeting agendas, meeting minutes for all project meetings attended\nWork with the Project Manager and Superintendent to prepare, update and provide accurate project progress on a weekly basis.\nAssist in the supervision of cost report management and assist or lead regular review meetings\nIdentify issues early and work to develop solutions\nPrepare required information for presentation at project reviews\nHelp problem solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project\nAbility to read and comprehend Water Main, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Pipeline Drawings\nAssist in ensuring compliance with contract specifications\nCarry out job duties and responsibilities while maintaining Spiniello core values\nConsult with and gather information from inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, etc.\nMaintain positive client relationships with onsite personnel\nEnsure project adheres to set schedule and is meeting goals of the client\nOther duties assigned\nPosition Requirements and Qualifications\nKnowledge of Civil Construction, Earthwork, Excavation, and Utilities construction. Ability to manage time effectively and provide innovation when needed. Willingness to understand corporate and industry practices and standards, processes, and activities.\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Required, BA degree in Construction Management or in Civil Engineering, preferred\n5+ years of experience in utility construction\nKnowledge of water, sanitary waste, and/or storm water collection systems\nKnowledge of best practices to replace or installation of water/sewer lines.\nKnowledge of bypass pumping.\nFamiliar with grading, clearing, excavation, drainage, stream restoration, and other civil construction scopes\nMinimum of 5+ years of construction/project experience. Experience as a Project Coordinator in a similar role is desirable\nKeen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving; ability to proactively address potential issues.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite\nFamiliar with HCSS and Sage Timberline a plus.\nStrong prioritization and organizational skills; detail oriented a must.\nExcels in a high-paced work environment\nExcellent verbal and written communication.\nPassion for the work and industry.\nSelf-starter who works well independently\nAdaptable and calm under pressure\nExpert problem solver\nRecruitment Notice\nSpiniello Companies does not accept unsolicited resumes from search, recruiting, or staffing firms.
