Our California operations continue to expand by delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for municipalities, utility districts, and public agencies across the state.\nAs we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced estimating professionals who are passionate about building the infrastructure that serves California's communities.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs the Safety Manager, you'll oversee safety performance across multiple construction projects while serving as a trusted advisor to project teams and regional leadership.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDevelop and implement regional Safety Action Plans focused on preventing accidents, incidents, and property damage.\nCreate and manage project-specific Health and Safety Plans that meet client and regulatory requirements.\nOversee daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.\nIdentify safety trends and proactively develop training and preventative measures.\nLead, coach, and mentor safety personnel while supporting field supervisors and project managers.\nConduct regular field audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.\nEnsure crews comply with customer, environmental, and regulatory safety standards.\nConduct and oversee daily, weekly, and project-specific safety meetings.\nMaintain required safety documentation, reports, and inspection records.\nSupport accident investigations, injury reporting, and post-incident response.\nAdminister random and post-accident drug testing in accordance with company policy.\nBuild strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're seeking a safety leader who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.\nRequired Qualifications\nOSHA 500 or OSHA 510/502 certification (current or obtained within the required timeframe)\nCHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification\nMinimum of 5 years of construction safety experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and heavy civil construction safety practices\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExperience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses\nAbility to develop and deliver safety training programs\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills\nAbility to work effectively with project managers, field personnel, union employees, clients, and regulatory agencies\nWillingness to travel approximately 20%, including overnight travel when project needs require\nPreferred Qualifications\nHAZWOPER Certification\nExperience supporting underground utility, trenchless, water/wastewater, or heavy civil construction projects\nWhy Join Spiniello?\nAt Spiniello, you'll join a company with more than 100 years of industry leadership and a reputation for tackling some of the nation's most challenging infrastructure projects.
