By hiring the best and brightest minds-and that’s why we want you!\nJob Description:\nWhat will you work on?\nReporting to the Finance Manager and responsible for VAT and Intrastat preparation, reporting, filing and compliance for EMEA entities.\nHow will you create impact?\nPreparation and filing of regular VAT Returns in accordance with local filing regulations.\n\nReporting and filing of monthly Intrastat (Dispatches, Arrivals) returns.\n\nEnsure there is accuracy in all VAT and Intrastat reporting and all regulatory filing deadlines are adhered to.\n\nInvestigate unusual accounting entries, verify accuracy of VAT coding, co-ordinate with the Accounts Payable function and/or other functions to discover root cause and implement corrective actions and processes.\n\nPrepare and review month-end VAT account reconciliations.\n\nPrepare and post VAT journals as required.\n\nAssist in the mapping of VAT/Intrastat processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.\n\nEnsure internal controls around VAT/Intrastat processes are maintained and provide internal and external audit support.\n\nManage third party relationships with auditors, tax advisors, consulting companies and local VAT/Tax authorities as required.\n\nSupport the supply chain team on import and export VAT and customs duty related issues.\n\nAssist with VAT registrations in new territories and/or as result of business changes and implement local reporting, filing and compliance processes.\n\nAssist the finance team with VAT payments/repayments forecasts for cashflow purposes and in cases of local tax authority VAT/Intrastat audits.\n\nMonitor and report on regulatory and legislative regimes, identifying potential tax issues or consequences and advise management of effective solutions.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional projects as needed\n\n What are your skills and experience?\nA recognized accounting or tax qualification (ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA or similar)\n\nSAP DRC functionality experience is an advantage\n\nRelated University or College qualifications\n\nMin 5 years of experience in VAT advisory or VAT compliance function with a good grasp of VAT and Intrastat knowledge in a mid to large sized company\n\nExperience with Consumer Goods/ Retail Industry preferred\n\nExperience in manipulating and analysing large volumes of data and report writing\n\nStrong experience in Indirect Taxes compliance across EMEA region gained in-house in a similar industry (Consumer Goods/ Retail Industry)\n\nStrong experience in systems including SAP and MS Office tools\n\nStrong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner are a must\n\nGood knowledge of another European language is an advantage (German, French, Italian, or Dutch)\n\nAbility to take ownership of the process and implement change\n\nAbility to take Initiative and pays attention to details\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\n\nAbility to work to tight deadlines and under pressure\n\nWorks well with team or independently\n\n#LI-MK1 #LI-Hybrid\nThe anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Slovakia starts from 2500 EUR per month.
