The project engineering technician plays a key role in the design, development and maintenance of our products, processes and systems, assisting engineers with the practical aspects of engineering projects. The role involves activities such as clarifying designs, ensuring accurate measurements, collating components for test, manufacturing prototypes, documenting changes and conducting tests. Key accountabilities include: Electronics/Software Lab and Make Zone Maintenance activities such as maintaining generic spares and tools etc Assisting Engineers in designing, developing and maintaining equipment and components such as Repair/maintenance of Test Product and equipment Conducting test diagnostics to ensure equipment functions correctly. Troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions. Communicating problems found during testing Understand product and market requirements and be able to read a hardware requirements specification around which the design is constructed to ensure that they can be cross referred.
